Appreciate it bungie. Thanks for making it a 280 strike which is impossible for 3 randoms under 300 light. Us solo players really love how you constantly have s**t on us with TTK, and this is just another example.
Enough already with all the fireteam BS, the sooner you make this game more solo friendly the sooner your sales will increase. The vast minority of sweaties that have thus far dictated the games development need to be ignored.
I'm about to call it quits on this game and it has had me helplessly addicted since alpha. WAY too many quests and missions that are impossible or near impossible for solo casuals. And I keep seeing more and more emphasis on fireteam crap with each new quest I get.
If you want nothing but a small hardcore community of sweaties, then so be it. But if your goal is to make money, then you may want to consider dropping a lot of the current ideas you have employed in TTK and make the game MUCH more solo friendly.
I can only take so much before my addiction on this game is ended for good. I've been a solo player from the beginning and haven't done a single raid yet... But I'm still here... Every single freaking day. However far too much in TTK is fireteam Dependant and it is really destroying the experience for me.

Finished it with 2 randoms at 292

The warsat part is a b***h, but the rest wasn't bad at all. Ran it with randoms, no mics, just pointing.
-
BUMP this. Although I do raid sometimes. I much rather solo also
-
1 ReplyUhm... I am a filthy casual at its finest IMO and I beat the encounter with two other people (both randoms) and without microphones. It was a simple matter of understanding our party makeup and coordinating based on what we had. Honestly, 3 Nightstalkers sounds like it would be the easiest setup in the work for it, but not really. We didn't start coordinating Shadowshot rotations until our 4-5th time on the warsat. Eventually, we figured it out and got past the objective with just enough time to immediately wipe and continue on as normal. Just keep at it and don't ragequit. Persistence overcomes everything.

1 ReplyUgh, one of these.
-
Wow. Seriously? I consider myself a casual and it was a piece of cake. If you want some help just ask man.
-
I did it with only one other person. And he was only 280 something
-
3 RepliesI think they are testing the waters with harder strikes so they can encorporate the nightfall in match making
-
First try. No wipes. 3 ransoms!! Git gud skrub
-
Did it with randoms. Only the first part was tough imo
-
I fall into the casual category and had no problems finishing the strike. Toughen up princess

Actually, it's kind of ingenious that they decided to make it more geared towards group play. Reference an honest trailer for destiny, I believe they said 'play with friends so you can create the illusion of fun'. And that's exactly what it is. Solo play gets boring, and with the tedious grind it requires to succeed in this game, many people would be driven away IF they don't find a group of friends to play with. That's why destiny has been so successful.

Edited by Corrick II: 10/15/2015 10:09:21 PMI played it with randoms and cleared it in under an hour. It's not impossible. I'm not even the best player in the world and it was kind of fun.

I used matchmaking and got it on second try (the first group I was matched with were underlevel). I admit, we barely got through it. But hey getting weapons with quests are so much better than RNG. You actually have to work for it
-
I agree
-
Wait, people that load up this game everyday is considered a casual? I play maybe 3 days.. What does that make me? Also I got the sleeper with pugs, only 290 light... so ya...
-
1 ReplyIntroduce optional matchmaking for EVERYTHING or offer us an interface IN-GAME that allows us to search for a fireteam.. Otherwise we will continue to have less than half of all players completing end game activities.. This update would make destiny better while not affecting anyone who prefers to use the forums/reddit/LFG.. It is simply too much effort sometimes to get that fireteam assembled and there should be the OPTION of matchmaking..

Edited by OldManJenkins: 10/15/2015 9:59:15 PMThe New Raid is also impossible for a solo casual. Not there intention obviously...
too much in TTK is fireteam Dependant and it is really destroying the experience for me.
This game is advertised as a co-op game. You cant be a solo player, load up a co-op game and complain that you cant solo it.
-
Hell I managed to get two random 295's from LFG and I was 292 and we knocked it out in 2 tries. Just need to put your big girl panties on and knock it out.
-
I did it with two randoms and we beat it first try. It's not hard to do
-
You must like SAO, huh? Grow up
-
You ever heard of WORKING for something you want?
-
Trying to be a solo player on an MMO (if you call it that) isn't the smartest idea.
-
destiny is only fireteam required if u want the endgame. the black spindle is easy if u learn the layout. i solo'd it on a 296 .
-
dude its a -blam!-ing game. either gets some friends and play with them, or dont play the -blam!-ing game of you dont like it ya bish
-
Lol... Not even casuals are low enough or bad enough to not beat this damn exotic quest.
