I'm not a very social person. I play games to unwind and I usually don't feel like talking to random people or taking the chance to have someone ruin my mood. The example Gallifreyen gives is perfect, when I'm sucking at crucible, I'm glad I can't hear him talk trash. I'm having a hard enough time as it is. Edit: even though he apparently is a Whovian and otherwise we'd be cool.
