And then people would complain about this like the old shoulder charge. No thank you. 3/4 of health w damage over time is fine for me. Knives have aim assist too. Throw at the chest, hit the head.

I'd love this. It's ridiculous that even with the incendiary knife, a headshot still doesn't kill. Now they've nerfed our trip mine to top it off. Meanwhile I can go on my Titan and shoulder charge 1shot with no cool down. The throwing knife is easily the most underwhelming "melee" ability in the game.

7 RepliesSo the throwing knife, which you can have infinite of with a headshot, should be a one hit in crucible. Why not also give all supers total immunity to golden gun, just to balance it out. ;)

Agree. Throwing knives are designed to be a high risk high reward weapon. You might be in a reload sequence and maybe just out of shotgun range and have the ability to get off a perfect throwing knife and securing the kill would make some awesome montages I think.

3 RepliesAgree, it should do exactly 200 damage like shoulder charge so if there's any sort of extra armour it still won't kill but be very close. Takes way more skill than rushing and blindly hitting a button

I think that this is fair considering that by the time you throw it, they always kill you with close to no health left

1 ReplyNo just no. It's the easiest thing in destiny to do. One headshot from a handcannon or scout and you quickly tap the throw button and almost every time it will be a throwing knife kill. Just google how to get better at throwing knife in crucible and tons of vids will show

Put the solar burn on or hit 'em in the head with a decent scout before you throw it. If you hit your enemy in the head they should be as good as dead.

One hit kill with DoT maybe. If it was just a plain old one hit, you could have two throwing knife and a instant reset

I disagree completely. While it definitely requires large amounts of skill to use the throwing knife properly, it's not a perk like shoulder charge. It's the melee charge for gunslingers. Maybe an exotic or a reworked perk to give them extra damage would be better, but I think it should be a choice like shoulder charge is.
