If it's a single target boss killer and not meant to be used on adds then why is it inferior to a special weapon in both dps and damage per reserve load. Lol.
Oh and special ammo drops more frequently than heavy too.
It's not bad and I have fun with it, but if you're going for endgame efficiency sleeper is not the way to go.

Sleepy sim does not require you to expose yourself for as long as you would have to with a black spindle or something. For the raid, I'd pick black spindle because aura damage phases typically leave you completely untouched for 30 seconds. For strike bosses? It's a different story.

I did 96k damage on golgoroth in 3 shots, try to get that much damage with a special wep, I dare u.

how long did it take you to fire all three shots what dps can you do right after its easy to make any gun look good if you change your test numbers DPS should only be a factor to ELITE PLAYERS most people just dont get what it means

Furthermore, if it is an inferior weapon, why do u have it equiped? U say it's a low DPS, then don't use it. Heck, burn it. Get some shards. You don't need it. Stand behind your words, or quit talking. I know I just took out oryx with it, so it works great IMO.

and trust me when it comes to a round of courts or a raid or any strike i use useful weapons with actual perks you sound like the same idiots trying to tell me how great rangefinder was on the necro look what happen there.

Ha. Oh my god, that sounds so trite and stupid. "My DPS is bigger than yours." Get a life nerd. It took me about 5 seconds to get 3 shots. Some people are doing 100k+ damage per shot. Depending on the situation. Simply put, their is no other gun in the game with a damage profile like that. Shot for shot it is the strongest gun in the game. Please argue with that fact.

but shot for shot is not a good way to determine how much damage a gun can do with your synths you get 7 shots mine gives me 151 i started you off on the right track now go educate yourself dummy

it does alot more with weapons and a tether, and compared to some other boss fights golgoroth might be one of the best situations for it, but just because of sheer number of shots, black spindle does better. granted not everyone has the spindle and the difference isn't enough to get upset over. for the most part arguments about the sleeper being bad is just arguing a negligible amount of damage per shot / dps. its not the best for EVERY (or really any) situation, but it is good for almost all of them. there are better exotics for most fights but like i said, the difference is basically negligible.

Oh noes spindle only does a bit more than 2/3 of your single shot damage. Too bad it have more than twice your ammo reserves and the white nail perk.

Also ricochet hits amplify the damage, but that is a immeasurable stat, because it verys too much.
