It was beautiful and all, but the gameplay was laggy, slow, and downright awful. I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10...
Hello OP (or anyone who has decided to open the spoiler and read all of this).
I'm one of the Bungie.Net Ninjas. We may have met before, we may have interacted, you might have heard of us, or you may have no clue as to who we are and what we do. Well, this little note is to explain some of the things we do. One of the major roles we play is to handle the reports that come in whenever a member clicks on the "Report" button, to let us know that there is a post, a topic or a user that either doesn't understand or isn't following the rules that we all agreed to follow when we joined. But that's not the Ninja function that brought on this note.
The reason I am writing this is because I have retagged your thread. Bungie.Net uses hashtags to designate their major forums and to help keep things organized. Your OP (original post) was opened, created or given a hashtag that well, wasn't the best choice. It could have been that you were browsing through the various forum/tags that are available on the site or app, and clicked on "New Topic" while in a forum that didn't "match up" with the subject matter of your OP. Or, you may have thought "this belongs here", when unfortunately, it doesn't.
That's another role of the Bungie.Net Ninjas. We not only try to keep things fun, pleasant and welcoming here by removing rule-breakers, but we also want EVERY good topic to have the best chance to survive, thrive, find the right audience, and get lots of on-topic replies. And so, I have retagged your topic to move it to the forum where it has the best chance of doing that.
I give you my word that I have not altered a single letter or character of your Original Post, just placed this message below it and set the tag to better describe your topic. You may notice that you are unable to edit this post anymore. That is a part of the system, and I apologize for any inconvenience that it may have caused. I've not replied or commented on your OP, since this message would most likely be "off-topic" to your thread and when members see a Ninja or Mentor (who are volunteers from the community) or even a Bungie employee post, they tend to go a little crazy and the disruption to the thread becomes a distraction. I don't want that to happen to your thread. I want it to be in the BEST place possible, to be seen by the largest audience who is looking for this sort of topic, I want it to take root, get replies, grow strong and make these forums a better place.
If you have any questions, you should feel free to PM me. My name is now in the upper right corner of your OP where it says "edited by".
Thanks for your patience, thanks for being a part of this community, thanks for taking the time to read all of this (I hid it in a spoiler so that anyone who clicked couldn't complain about "too long, didn't read"), and thank you in advance for creating your future topics with the forum/tag location in mind.

I haven't even played it and I can tell you it's exactly what I thought it was going to be. Battlefield with a star wars skin. Sounds fun but don't care that much.
-
It was ok. Truthfully though, it wasn't anything special. I will definitely be waiting for the price to drop to at least $30 before I consider buying it.

6 RepliesIt takes a lot of skill to win as the rebels, at least that's how it felt to me lol
-
1 ReplyIt was pretty decent. However the Hero gameplay is awful. I played as Vader and Luke twice a piece and it was choppy, and felt underpowered. I also don't like how it's a random power up.
-
Never had any lag. You have that bojangles Internet bruh
-
1 ReplyJust sad it's over and now we wait for a month for the final.
-
It ran fine for me and didn't really have many bugs, but it was dreadfully boring.

2 RepliesEdited by Devious_Melons: 10/11/2015 7:16:35 PMDestiny suddenly looks a lot better now

2 RepliesI was disappointed on the amount of content available to try out.

If you get an orbital strike as the rebels and you drop that mug on an at-at when the y-wings fly over it takes like 70ish percent of its health. You can pretty much solo an at-at like that cause then you use ion shot and switch between your gun and the cycle rifle

I rate the beta 75-80/100 It was a beta after all, meant to test both the 8v8 and 20v20 engines. I never expected the beta to be perfect or show us everything the final game will include. In that respect the beta did it's job I think. Think back to the DICE beta tests for BF:BDC 2, BF3 and BF4. DICE offered us just a tad more in this gets than they did in those, with (2) PVP maps and a taste of the campaign. The spawns need to be tweaked and I expect they will. The team building tools were lacking, but I expect that will be fixed, if not at release, soon after. I was on winning Rebel teams at least 10 times, and one team beat the "player" walker on phase 1, and the other walker on phase 2. I heard some teams beat both walkers on phase 1, which seems possible with multiple orbital strikes per walker, 4 bombers and lots of other damage being applied.

1 ReplyI rarely experienced any lag or other problems, it worked fine for me. Also, unlike a lot of people here I never played Battlefront 2 so I really enjoyed the beta.

1. Party system is garbage, Dice trying to reinvent the wheel and failing again. I can team up with 8 players but only see one in game if I have a partner? Terrible system. I'm fine with only spawning on my partner but allow me to see my other friends otherwise it just feels like playing with randoms. 2. UI is extremely buggy, I can squad up with people and we can all search and join different games? plus various crashes etc. 3. The Survival mode is simply trash, it's boring and predictable, plus you can only play with one other friend. 4. Abilities recharge way too fast, I can snipe/nade people constantly which is fun don't get me wrong but it needs a trade off such as a longer cool down. 5. Balance is TERRIBLE in Walker Assault, an organised team can easily spawn kill constantly and the enemy team have no chance at all. I enjoyed it and I'll probably pick it up a sandwich game after release but I'm not nearly as excited as some people.

2 RepliesI refer to it as Battlefield 5: With Lasers

1 ReplyEdited by UniqueGamer: 10/11/2015 4:27:58 PMOh yeesh another I cant take my mouth off Destiny's balls post.

1 ReplyIt's Battlefield with Star Wars, which is exactly what I've always wanted. DICE even said they weren't aiming to recreate Battlefront 2, so I don't know why everyone is surprised we didn't get that. Obviously a Beta is going to have tons of bugs, but it was a lot of fun. The only thing that isn't going to be fun is the Tsunami of DLC EA will be drowning players with.
-
4 RepliesIt was battlefront with Star Wars skins. Very pretty, but nothing really new.
-
Hell no
-
Only time I found lag was when someone else was using the internet. When I compared it to BO3, I liked the BO3 beta more because it gave like 75% of the MP. While Battlefront gave like 5%.

2 RepliesBattlefront is fun but the spawns are the worst ive ever seen. Its really that bad. Also the At-st needs some kind of weak spot or less health. The cycler rifle cooldown is to fast, as is the other perks. You should be able to squad up with 4 instead of 2 imo. The biggest and worst thing of all is there is no single player campaign. EA and dice were given one of the most fleshed out universes in history with so many memorable charcters and places. Everywhere on Earth, people have heard about star wars. Thats how big it is. And all you can do is multiplayer with no story? Just look at Titanfall and Evovle, just to name a couple. After a month those games vanished. Even with continuous dlc streams. Only pvp games do not last. What are some of the best and funnest games ever? Halo series, half-life, red dead, last of us, gta series, mass effect series, metal gear. Those are only a few but what is shared amongst them all? Amazing single player campaigns with fleshed out characters, story, lore, and environments. Mechanics alone or pvp alone will not sustain a game for very long. It amazes me that devs dont see this obvious trend. A wave, horde mode is not enough. For this reason alone I will not buy it. Pvp only is not enough content for me. Plus when they close servers its over with.

Few lag spots here and there but not that bad for me really.

1 ReplySo many basic features missing that was in bf2 ten years ago (not all beta impressions): 1 classes 2 Ship hangers-hate the random "vehicle powerups" 3 Roll evade (while on foot) 4 Bots (makes battles feel more epic in scale) 5 space battles 6 sniper ammo (1 shot.. wtf) Definitely won't be pre-ordering, have to wait & see impressions once its released.

Go home you are dumb

2 RepliesEdited by Beast123: 10/11/2015 4:23:58 PMIf it ain't battlefront 2 it's a 5/10 Seriously it's a beta! It was really fun going in to it and yes I know it feels like cod...? Not at all. I can see the similarities but come one it's a first person shooter... They all feel the same.
btw this is #destiny...the proper place would be to go to #Gaming
1 ReplyWell it is Beta
