Are the sealed Ahamkaras grasps the best hunter exotic so far?

5 RepliesIt entirely depends on what you are going for with your hunter. As a Gunslinger, you might find that the Celestial Nighthawk is your best exotic for PvE and Acklyophage Symbiote is your best exotic for PvP, likely tied with Knucklehead Radar. Bladedancer is a weird one. On the one hand, the year two Khepri's Sting isn't released yet but was one of the best year one Bladedancer Exotics for both PvP and PvE. On the other, you have Mask of the Third Man which is easily the best all-around Bladedancer exotic. Sealed Ahamkara Grasps are tuned for Nightstalkers who used very specific builds focused on Crowd Control over mobility and orb generation. They aren't terrible by any means as two smoke grenades is super potent. Honestly, I have a solid preference for Skyburner's Annex. On paper, it is extremely underwhelming, but it actually works incredibly well. The chance to generate orbs from heavy kills is about 30%, and the bonus super energy from heavy kills really works well with the bonus. The bonus special ammo when you pick up orbs as full super is oddly more useful than you would otherwise expect because you may be in a situation where your super is better off being kept than used. In these cases, especially because I opt for a sniper rifle in my special weapon slot most of the time, it is a lot easier to keep sniping and collect orbs than run into danger in search of special ammo. Unless you absolutely depend on two smoke grenades, Sealed Ahamkara Grasps are only a decent exotic. They stand above other options but also doesn't really win in the grand scheme.

I don't find any of the hunter exotics too terribly useful. They're nice but there isn't one I'm completely attached to

2 RepliesThey serve no function on a gunslinger since you can have 2 melee anyway, but combine it with headshot replenish and its is, It's certainly one of te best pve and pvp exotics

They are situational. I use them for my nightstalker strength build. Unlimited invisibility! I use the ahamkara's spine for my gunslinger discipline build. Unlimited sticky grenades! I use the graviton for my nightstalker intellect build. Dark Drinker plus faster bow charge and shadestep.

They are great for every situation and my favorite exotic armor piece. And also very useful in pve for having double invis bombs

I prefer graviton forfeit, but that only so I can keep my treasure huntin' radar, and ninja role at the same time.

Spine of Young Ahamkara is actually really powerful in PvP. I use it with Hawkmoon and a throwing knife build.

I like to have two melee attacks. Useful in cruicible. But dont like how if you have them on aswell as gunslinger you can already get two knives but the gloves dont add a third.
