Sleeper simulant is actually really good
To all of you who say sleeper simulant needs a buff or it sucks sorry to tell you but you're wrong. The gun is meant to be used against single targets which when used against a single target it does more damage than both rocket and LMGS. The gun is fine the way it is.
Edit 1: why do people complain about the ammo? It carries more than rockets and each round does about 50% more damage than a single rocket. The ammo is fine.
Edit 2: Guys it's a single target weapon (aka boss killer). Stop trying to use it on adds it's not meant for that.
Edit 3: The perks just provide a CHANCE to hit others. The gun was meant for single targets not meant to be counted on to hit more than one target.

Edit 5: Last edit sleeper is a good BURST DAMAGE heavy meant for fights were you can only get a couple of shots of quickly and not continuous dps. Snipers will also out dps sleeper in the long run for bosses that were many to be fought like that (aka king's fall).

7 RepliesEdited by TheFrozenInferno: 10/15/2015 10:28:30 AMIf the DPS Police would put away their calculators and use it outside of the raid (you know, the other 98% of the game), for fun, maybe they'd realize it's actually a pretty good weapon for melting pretty much everything. It bends over strike bosses and one-shots majors from across the map. I'll concede that in the raid from Golgoroth and onwards there are better weapons for DPS like ToM and Spindle, because DPS actually makes a big difference there, but don't write off the Sleeper just because a few weapons in the entire game can do more damage. I guess the people who call it trash because of Golgoroth DPS numbers must do nothing but fight Golgoroth all day every day.

4 RepliesIts an OK weapon but the ricocheting lasers have me asking who the hell thought that was a good idea. I'd understand something like laser adds a burn effect after impact or something but we got something that shoots off into god knows where and misses every enemy.

As a special weapon with current perks ammo and damage it would be awesome. But as a heavy weapon it's underwhelming

1 ReplyI finished my first Kings Fall raid just before reset this week. I joined a random group to do Oryx and got out on ads duty. I was melting all 4 orges with a combo of sleeper and stillpiercer! Its a great gun in the right situation.

I don't get why everyone thinks it's godsent? It really isn't as good as people put it out to be. Or at least, it's not worth an exotic slot.

I think Sleeper with 1000 yard stare could be lethal as heck. I want Stare with spray and play. If I rolled one with arc it'd be my dream cuz I have a solar and void one
