Hammer of Sol is balanced (Please stop acting like babies)

Two days after the release of TTK I looked at forums to see that someone was already crying for a nerf. It was on the one and only hammer of sol. Congrats to the person who made that complaint, you are now part of the crucibabys. The hammer is balanced because it is a super and that the rest of the sunbreaker skill tree is weak. All of these crucibabys cry for nerfs when they don't look at the pros and cons of the super. So here you go the pros and cons of the hammer of sol. Pros: hammer does lots of damage and gives player a big armor boost. Also can give lots of kills due to lots of hammers thrown and the explosion caused by hammers. Cons: Shadowshot and suppresion grenades take away super. Rockets will kill you so will snipers that catch you off guard. A group of enemies can easily out number you and kill you if you have slow reaction time. Golden gun will kill and so will nova bomb. Hammer has travel time and has bullet drop (In short it dos not go in a straight line) In year one golden gun and arc blade were the best supers and no one cried nerf. Now since hammer has become the best pvp super some are not happy with that. So before you cry nerf start looking at the pros and cons of it. Edit 1: Well thank to all who were mature with their staments. I think everyone has gotten there point across. Oh who am I kidding, this place is a war zone. Here's how to fix hammer (from a titan). Decrease the armor so Golden Gun one shots and high impact snipers one-shot headshot. I hope others agree with me.

  • Seriously you are so biaised, the armour is toi much and here is why. If the Sunbreaker maxes armour and wears a chest piece that increases solar sibclass armour he can: 1. Survive Novabomb with Vortex (no one else can) 2. Survive high impact snipe to the head (no one except Sunsinger with max armour an ram, but they dont get ranged OHK) 3. Survive GG shot (no one except Sunsinger with max armour an ram, but they dont get ranged OHK) 4. Survive rocket to the face (since blink got nerfed, no one except Sunsinger with max armour an ram, but they dont get ranged OHK) 5. Survive 2 shotgun blasts to the face (no one else can) 6. Survive sword attack (not sure if other classes can) 7. Survive FoH (no one else can) So yeah, too much armour.

  • Its close to balanced, but not quite. If it wasnt op I wouldnt see my see my whole team scatter and retreat when you hear the *clunk*. The over shield, armor and health regen is just too much. 4 sword swings from behind and I took one down today. I was stealthed as a hunter and snuck up on him. And people can say "titans are tanks, they should be hard to kill" all tey want. Tanks are defensive not offensive. You cant have both. I main hunter and admit that bladedancer was unbalanced, but I never sprinted away from one like I do a sun breaker. Just drop the armor to 1 gg shot or hp sniper crit and it will be fine.

You tank Golden gun shots, sniper shots, rockets, swords, etc. Add splash damage, health regen, tracking hammers, no penalty to mobility, ranged hammers, a short range attack to the pros list. Also it can beat every other super. Love how you simplified the pros but really expanded on the "cons" since they are proposed counters that don't really work. In the time it takes you to shoot that shot, a hammer is coming out you. Congrats you tethered him but now you are death. It's been proven suppression grenades don't work 100% of the time. You live through rockets and no year two sniper can one shot you. A group of enemies can be made short work of due to the splash damage and health regen. I like how you added in "if you have slow reaction time" suggesting that a player that doesn't can wipe a team. Yes the hammer has travel time but you act like people can compensate for it. It's quite easy to see where the hammer might go if you throw it. Let's not forget that most Destiny maps are close quarters and hammer drop is not a factor, also splash damage makes up for the drop since you don't exactly have to be accurate. You need [i]two[/i] golden gun shots to kill a HoS. By then a hammer is hurling towards you if it wasn't already. Nova bomb does if you don't miss and catch him off guard. It's not like your mobility is compromised. You have health regen. Splash damage. More armor than any other super. The only super that can survive a headshot from a sniper. The super is range. What are the cons to using this super? Golden gun is and has always been balanced since it actually does have cons. You get [i]no[/i] armor and only 3 shots compared to almost double armor and 5-7 hammers plus health regen. Bladedancer was actually nerf'd in year one for the same reasons HoS should be. You are free to call people derogatory names in defense of this super but looking at it from a rational stand point, it is overpowered by super standpoints.

      • Really? So fusion grenades, the amazing jump, the overpowered melee, the extra explosion radius, the health regen, and the supers perks arent "good". You're right they're AMAZING! All you titans are so -blam!-ing ticked that you never got a good super for pvp even though you did and now you go crazy protective ragging on everyone else. It should get nerfed, whether people admit it or not, health, explosion, and duration especially is all that is needed.

      • You get to be a tank for about 20 seconds at most twice a match. Unless you spam from the moment you activate you only get a few hammer throws. You are defiantly killable. I don't understand why this is a problem...

      • Nova bombs, golden gun shot nor a sniper shot to the head take out the sunbreaker. They can sit in a sunspot with an over shield and a longer super. For a class to be balanced it needs a weakness and suppression a grenades nor a bow serve as a viable weakness as neither guarantee a kill to a sunbreaker they simply remove the super

            It seems like they ninja nerfed HoS cause once I see a hammer next to me, I don't die from the blast radius. And PLEASE give hunters supressor grenades just like the other support class that has them.

          • You cant nova i watched hos survive 2 novas hos its the strongest super and the best im not crying for nerf i just run from them. A few times i killed a hos 1v1 with invective. But hos is like a golden gun x3 + sunsinger with 6 ram helmets on. Thats a fact.

            • GG with combustion + 7 shots + radiance with over shield + hungering blade = Hammer of sols. If that's not OP. Then Bungie Better damn well give me back my old blink, arc bolt and arc blade armor. Because that pales in comparison to HoS. I don't mind Titans having OP power. But give to other classes back there stuff.

Are you -blam!-ing kidding me? This forum was FILLED with people asking for nerfs and you know what happened? Bladedancer got nerfed hard. Third, golden gun and bladedancer are very easy to counter, arc blade is the easiest super in the game to counter. Snipe em, shotgun em, gun them down with your primary as they try to close the distance. Golden gun goes down to sniper body shot and one primary shot, one headshot with a sniper will take care of them, or baiting them in close and popping them in the chest with a shotgun and melee combo always works. How do you counter HoS? You have to use FoH, Nova Bomb, or Shadow Shot to even stand a chance. That's called overpowered.

                  [quote]In year one golden gun and arc blade were the best supers and no one cried nerf.[/quote] Yes they were WHICH is why combining is so OP and Hammer of SOP [spoiler]So Over Powered[/spoiler] is OP you see Arc blade and golden gun were like opposites, while one excelled at close range combat but failed at far range combat (Arc Blade) the other excelled at far range combat and failed at close encounters this made it relatively simple on how to deal with them Hammer of SOP on the other hand is legitimately both combined so your facing a golden gun and a Arc blade at the same time its insane
