Raze lighter is best for killing majors and low health ultras (think light eaters from KF) Dark drinker is best for close crowd control Bolt caster(or whatever it's called) is best for ranged crowd control. If you're looking for a Gjallarhorn sword of say Raze lighter is the best.

Between Solar, Arc, And Void? I chose solar, because i can handle arc-shielded, and void-shielded enemies. Solar-shielded, and Solar-powered enemies have killed me more times than I can count. Whether its Hob Goblins, Cabal, Wizards, Skolas, Undying Mind, Etc. They continue to be a serious pain in my ass. Sadly I can't block solar with solar... but I can give them a taste of their own medicine. So yeah XD Btw wizards have solar shields.

For legendary, any. The only exotic one I have is the void, Dark-Drinker. I'd say the best is a tie between Dark-Drinker and Raze-Light. Bolt-Caster seems fun for PvP and some PvE though.

Dark Drinker. It's good for crowd control [i]and[/i] single targets.
