Just because games have similarities does not mean they play the same or feel the same. The old battlefront were similar in the fact that they had large-scale warfare but other than that they were quite different from battlefield. It's just the feeling of the game

And of course, they have similar titles. Yeah, it's pretty much Battlefield with a Star Wars skin. Hell, there was even a Star Wars mod for 1942 around or before the time the first Battlefront released. Coincidence? I think not.

Again, those similarities do not mean it plays the same. They both have classes, however in battlefront the choice in class is much more drastic a change, especially with droids where you end up moving and playing incredibly different. Vehicles were the same way. They all moved in rather unrealistic ways and had their own feel that regular vehicles in battlefield don't. Gamemodes? Most games share from a similar pool of gamemodes so it's not surprising to see them like that. There are always similarities. No doubt that battlefront was trying to live off of 1942's success, however they were still fairly different games with different feels to them. You could live battlefront but not enjoy battlefield at all back then. With the new game, the 2 are much more similar is feel and I can't imagine it being the slightest bit enjoyable to somebody who dislikes battlefield.
