Use strange coins to buy heavy synth and turn them in each week. Started levelling up FWC the week before taken king dropped and now I'm level 25 rep with them

I was rank zero yesterday, so i dumped 100 motes into it and 1800 armor parts. Got to rank 3 pretty fast.

Edited by Tibbaryllis2: 10/10/2015 6:39:28 PMThe best way is to run heroic strikes for engrams and to complete bounties. Engrams and bounties regularly reward motes (plus bounties can reward engrams). Every level up is 3 motes. Every 100 motes is a faction level. Before you dismantle your rares, use completed bounties to level them up so they'll also reward motes. Plus completed strikes also award faction.

4 RepliesI do patrol missions on earth where I can kill fallen for glimmer (using the dreadnaught ghost), collect ether seeds and I can use that glimmer and ether seeds to buy heavy ammo synths from Variks to also turn into rep. It's probably not the most interesting but it's the least boring PvE option.

2 RepliesI've been using strange coins for ammo synths. 1 coin = 3 heavy ammos, 40 strange coins gets you enough for a full rank. Goes hand in hand with engram/cryptarch rep farming.

Use your strange coins for heavy syns with XUR they you can get more for less than with motes from xur. Then use to level up.
