Having played the original Battlefronts and yes, (even the one that released on PSP) I have to agree with OP here.
I miss being able to go to a hangar and get inside an X Wing or a TIE Fighter at the start of a round, fly into space and duke it out while another battle is happening below you, or get picked to be a Hero or a Villain.
Not scour for damn hologram pickups for those things.
I understand that some people like it, and that's fine, but I just don't think it gets the Battlefront Essence right. It looks visually and sounds audibly appealing, but the boring maps and one-sided gameplay with the 7-Sec Sniper, Heavy Blasters, etc, just kill it for me.

I was honestly surprised about that, Both is still a pretty big map, but most of it is just trenches and no man's land.
