If you guys pay attention to the slow-mo parts, you can see that he (probably uses the Destiny Companion App) equips a different sword. Whether it's out of ammo or not, you only see that weird blue aura around the weapon when you change equipment. Try swapping to the bolt-caster using the app at the same time you go to use your RT/R2 ability.

Try it for yourself, it works. I only assume it has a red/blue color since the sword is solar and it's the arc sword ability.

Even if that were true, id still have 0 ammo.

Can't switch weapons when not in orbit.

You can't use the app to switch weapons in a combat zone.

He doesn't switch weapons. I tried it on my raze last night and it doesn't turn bluish. No idea why but it works.
