Before I start this post is about the Sleeper Simulant for those who might be confused...
So anyway this is the first time a Fusion Rifle was made a Heavy Weapon, I'm finding it hard to get more ammo for it so that when I get a purple ammo pickup I get at least 3 rounds... Every time I pick up a purple ammo pickup I only get 2 rounds and that's not even a full magazine...
With other Heavy Weapons it was easy. Want more ammo with a Rocket Launcher you equip armor that has "Carry more ammo for Rocket Launchers", same with snipers, shotguns, etc.
Now for the first time ever a fusion rifle is a Heavy Weapon. However, the game sees it as an Exotic Special Weapon... Don't believe me? Go look at the Exotic Weapon Collection Kiosk in the Vanguard Sanctuary...
So the question is... What perks align with the SS(Sleeper Simulant)? I've tried the "Carry more ammo with Heavy Weapons" perk but it doesn't seem to work despite the SS being a Heavy Weapon...
I don't have anything for Fusion Rifles but I'd like to know if anyone has discovered what ammo perk to use with this so I can get the appropriate armor.

2 RepliesOh it works with carry more heavy ammo. Goes from 7 to 9. Unfortunately, for some reason carry more fusion rifle ammo doesn't work...
