Why should I play Iron Banner?
I don't see why I should play IB nexr week. I bought TTK now, but there is still no motivation to do it. Etheric light and the beautiful armor and weapons made me play it. But everything I get now will be useless. Weapons and armor are just aethetics and don't have a purpose to the rest of the game. Bungie made all my "year one" stuff useless. So experience tells me: it's no use to play.

There is one huge reason to play iron banner. That is to experience the ridiculous iron banner lag. You really have to do it every once in a while so the normal crucible lag isn't so irritating.

I'm really wondering why I've done it the last few times. Frankly, I've done every iron banner and got all the peices... And I never even [i]equipped[/i] most of them before they were rendered entirely useless.

3 RepliesWith all the new playlists out, IB might not be control this year. I'm expecting Rift. I can't imagine the gear being worth it, but the weapons will make you more lethal in Trials or other pvp instances. Who knows, I just hope it's worth the grind.

5 RepliesMy questions is, how much are they selling each piece of armor for? How many marks will it take for each piece of armor? If it's 150 marks AND it's not 300+ gear then I won't bother most likely. Hell even if it is 300+ armor, 150 marks would be too rich for my blood. I grind my daily stuff every day/week and I have not seen a way to get that many in a single week. I would have enough to buy the first piece of armor but then how would I come up with marks for the rest during that same week if I already grinded all my stuff?

Because new armors AND weapons. This is the first IB where they didn't just slap a new attack value and icon on it, and call it new. Also, medieval/knight themed armors

For me it will depend on the light level on the gear as rewards. If it's under 300 I won't really commit to the tournament. In the past IB was a way for the crucible focused players to get max level gear because we often hate pve raiding.

I agree. Maybe story with ib and a link to something would help. If done properly it would really help. But if they went through that much trouble they'd have better design and mechanics too. So what I'm trying to say is don't count on destiny changing or getting significantly better.
