I recently am trying to get started in YouTube, just as a hobby mostly and hopefully it'll kick off, but just for fun right now. It's surprisingly hard finding/creating good quality content, let alone the editing and rendering of a Video can take hours. It's easier than most jobs, but it still requires you to sit at a desk for 6-8 hours to make content people want. Plus, good sound/video recording equipment and fast internet speeds are pretty expensive. Don't just go on here hating unless you've actually tried it.

This is about streaming, you tube is a different story, your producing your work for hours, editing, recording, rendering, uploading, streaming is just, camera on, go

Streaming is a lot more than you think. You have to consistently provide good content LIVE for hours at a time, mostly every day while making sure you don't also say something really bad and piss your fanbase off. It's not that easy

That and the toll it takes on your voice is really bad.
