Now first, let me start this off by saying I have played Sunbreaker for a while now and I think it's probably one of the best subclasses in the game, for PvE and PvP both. Now on to my position on this.
The Sunbreaker, while it may seem to be over-powered, is far from it. The reason? His super is the only thing he has. Besides his Super, none of the Sunbreaker's abilities are very good. A lot of the abilities/perks in the skill tree are based around his super, so yeah, it's gonna be a little powerful.

They are eassy to kill so sunbrraker are not op

The only gripe I have with Sunbreaker is that the super should die to the instant-use supers, Fist of Havoc and Nova Bomb. That is it.
-
People complaining about sunbreakers are the people dealing with them wrong. Do you charge a blade dancer? No. Do you stand still when you see a titan charging you about to foh? No. Do you just stand still when the enemy grabs heavy and starts firing rockets at you? No. So why people stand in place die to a titan hammer and then whine is beyond me. Stay mobile, get in the open, get into the air, make them waste their super or shut them down with a void bow/supression grenade and you'll find titan hammers are not nearly as op as you think.

Has 875 grimoire.

Man so you don't have a gun when your super isn't active....man it is underpowered....
-
The only thing that should be changed is that a LDR type sniper should one shot head. And maybe slightly Nerf the health regen.

Sunbreaker is overpower and needs a…
BUFF
Edited by SpaghettiMonster: 10/10/2015 1:05:56 PM12 second grenade cool down with two of the best grenades, no actually it focuses super and grenade damage. Oh and a melee that does what Nightstalker does only better

18 RepliesThe only counter for this subclass is to run for the hills. You sure it isn't op?

So your saying that her super is OP?

2 RepliesI will never be convinced that sunbreaker is balanced with others in PVP Yes im a hunter... before some one says "says the hunter"
which will prolly make them say it anyway
1 ReplyEdited by StormiDutch: 10/10/2015 10:39:49 AMAlways laugh at people saying only the super is strong. 1. Melee that makes enemies take 50% extra dmg 2. Fusion grenades 3. Incendiary grenades Their melee has small range but has some of the best PvE perks, and they have 2 of the strongest grenades in the game, stop being so extremely biased.

Still needs nerfing

Has anyone tried playing sun breaker without cauterise over shield perk or throw more hammers?? I have the class is so much worse you maybe get 1 kill, if you run into 2 people you are shutdown so easily also unlike the hunter arc blade there are no fast movement so dodging enemy fire is so hard you can't so you just have to tank it. Also running away from it is so easy. I think sunbreaker is fine no nerf needed
-
Put on that perk that increases grenades and melee charge when super is full max out discipline and put on armormantium. That's what I do and it's so fun. Especially in mayhem. That's the other build you can use.

You have fusion grenades, and incendiary which isn't bad either. You're melee is on par with other Titan melee (not saying that's awesome but it's standard) and you have the most powerful super by far in the game. I think you'd be doing just fine if sb didn't have half of its perks.

No abilities..... except a one shot fusion nade. Coming from a warlock....

Oryx disagrees, oryx thinks your wrong, oryx thinks that sun breakers hurt him

Edited by AlTrio: 10/10/2015 5:46:29 AMFusion and Incenduiary grenades are fantastic while Thermite can be extremely rewarded when used well. All abilities heal regardless of super, pairs extraordinarily well with fusion grenades. Failing that, you can skip using Cauterize and go with Shimmering Flames to start using your grenades like a freaking maniac while you save your super for that special somebody. A discipline build while completely ignoring super is very viable. The melee is bad solely because it has low range like the rest of the titan subclasses. Melting Point is great in that it has a DoT that both stops instant healing and makes cleaning up all the easier for your allies should you die while Thermal Vent sends people expectantly flying, most people will be looking for the follow up melee while you'll have a follow up gun. Even when they have the first hit in a melee fight if they're not expecting it you can easily come out on top. Then you have the Titans inherent ability to go real fast with skating. Gives the player maximum map control, allowing you to both rush towards people and rush away from people really fast. Amazing while in your super too, or for running away from sunbreakers if you're one of the idiots like me still playing defender. Skating lets you flank to your maximum potential and get to that heavy spawn justtt in time. Now remind me again how everything outside the super is bad.

1 ReplyEdited by Fira: 10/10/2015 4:24:51 AMFusion grenade is a 1-hit for most cases. Thermite grenade is a good zoning grenade. Incendiary grenades hit hard and can be banked off walls. All grenades regen health with cauterize perk on. Combustion hits hard, burns, can lower defense, can leave an AoE and regen health (cauterize) I fail to see how the rest of the class besides the super is bad?
