Am I the only person who plays all three characters and agrees SBs armor is a bit much?

Seems like when someone points the obvious out, the only argument people present is that the OP mains a Warlock/Hunter and that supposedly makes their point invalid. Well I play on all three and its obvious that it needs tweaking, so what will you say about that? Give me valid proof that SB isn't op in armor and that it deserves to withstand a GG shot/high impact sniper crit. :p

  • Nah. I fully agree with you. It should be one shottable by snipers, but the thing is, bungie doesn't NERF things to balance them. They nerf it to shit so it's unusable.

    • The duration is also a problrm, I got killed by the same person during one super twice,and i wasnt self ress warlock

          Stormcallers have that one perk that makes their super last forever if their melee and grenades are fully charged. I don't think it's duration or the armor that's the problem. I think it's that their isn't really a counter, which I guess could be linked to armor. Sure, you can shadowshot them, but you better make sure you get that shot off before you get a face full of fiery righteousness. Which is difficult if the Titan has a modicum of skill.

          • Haven't played enough of the class yet or enough crucible for that matter. From what I have played it does feel a bit off. Although it does feel a bit off I hate rushed nerf/buffs before we have had time to develop strategies for and against it

              Because it gives final round on snipers a purpose for activating on headshots.

            • I don't understand how people can think it's fair. Let's all remember a year ago when people screamed for a blade dancer nerf but let's compare the two. Sunbreaker has more armour and damage reduction. Sunbreaker has health regen. But most of all while a blade dancer needed 6 swipes at melee range to get 6 kills a sun breaker only needs 1 shot from any range, like a nova bomb, except they have 8 of them. Sun breakers are basically the best part of every super rolled into one but without any of the negatives.

              • Reduce armour for Sunbreakers by 9. Reduce their Recovery and Agility by 8. Make them throw one hammer, have it be a direct-hit only attack. Drunk tracking on the hammer. Sunbreakers will kill themselves and give everybody else a 10 killstreak upon throwing the hammer. The only grenade they have is a suppression grenade minus the suppression. The only melee they have is Punch. No Sun Strike. Cauterize is removed even though they can't use it. Hammer of Sol will not trigger any of its related skills. Hammer of Sol will not count towards any bounties. Sunbreaker quest now levels down all your characters except Hunters.

              • Without a doubt the armor on SB is the main issue although it wouldn't break the effectiveness of the super if the blast radius on the hammers was less than "are you playing on the same map? ok - you're dead". (exaggerating, yes, but the blast radius does make it stupid easy to 1-shot an opponent.
