Call it a conspiracy theory, but I watch videos on YouTube and these people seems to have all the weapons. I just have to wonder, could bungie be giving these to them? It is good promotion for the game because it just makes people want to play more just to get the weapon.
All they would have to do is drop them in their mailbox. It is possible.
Which brings me to another thing, how did all the well known destiny players level up so quick to do the raid? I just reached 295 on one of toons. These people were raid worthy within days.
Edit: so...because they played a lot, they get all these weapons? I used to play a lot. I took a 6 month vacation from destiny, but prior to my break, I played daily since the game launched...and I never got gallajorn. So please don't tell me that by playing a lot you will get everything.
Edit more: yes I've seen them use other accounts but it's rare. More often than not it's a review of fully level black spindle followed a day later by a fully leveled telesto, followed by a review of a fully leveled sword of whateverthefck.
I can't believe I am the only one to have thought this. But, seeing how I can't play as much as these people, I concede it is a possibility that I am wrong.

I have no idea how these youtubers are getting so many exotics. I choose to believe that its because they spend their lives playing these games. But Bungie giving them these weapons could be a possibility.
-
Lest we forget, the great 3 of Coins farming, on that first weekend. I'm sure anyone who had a surplus of strange coins could have gotten just about every exotic that weekend.

Ur a scrub m8 All these you tubers are also scrubs

2 RepliesDude, these people's lives are YouTube. They honestly play 8 hours a day on 3 characters grinding every single thing. Honestly, I don't know what you're thinKing about free guns.

1 ReplyEdited by stompsabout: 10/9/2015 12:31:54 PMNever forget Prodigy and his 10 gjallahorns
-
Edited by Irishd3vil69: 10/9/2015 1:53:35 PMThey play more than you think they do. Most of their videos are a couple of days old. Most of the videos you are watching are from live streams on twitch, then they upload portions of that live stream to YouTube. They are not given weapons by Bungie.
-
Besides the fact that you seem a little booty bothered... They borrow accounts.

1 Reply# casual player.....
-
Solution? Don't watch streamers and youtubers. Wtf is wrong with you kids?
-
They play it for a living, so I would assume that they just play alot.

Get your spin foil hats everyone... Christ

I get where you're coming from, but you gotta realize something. The people you're talking about typically have a couple hundred thousand subscribers. That's people who watch the videos on a regular basis. It says nothing of the amount of people who typically watch the actual videos themselves. Now, Idk if you go to school or if you have a job or if you're like me and you do both. Either way, you know that if you want to earn money, you have to knuckle down and work at it until you're ready to collapse and then work a few hours past that. You and I might play Destiny daily for a few hours of the day when we can. These guys are literally paid upon the views and likes their videos get. Most of them live off of that mkney. So chances are that they're going be spending hours playing Destiny. The same amount of hours that you and I might spend working or studying is the same amount of time that they spend playing the videogames they do so they can get paid.

1 ReplyMan I love that sword of whateverthefck. Best sword ever!
-
6 RepliesWait, you never got the almighty, holy Gallajorn!?!
-
Playing daily and playing the amount you tubes do is a different thing, I play daily for around 4 hours on weekdays and was 288 for raid day, you tubers play upwards of 8 hours so yea easily possible to grind strikes and gun quests in that time
-
Edited by HighClassH2O: 10/9/2015 12:37:56 PMA lot of fans to the youtuber will message them about having certain weapons ect. An example is tefty from planet destiny. And he always does a shout out or leave credit to the person who allowed him on the account to review / use the weapon
-
Leveling weapons takes about 2 minutes with stacks of motes and telemetries. YouTube gamers have plenty of time to amass engrams, coins, motes, etc. And lots of times they will borrow someone's account if they don't have the actual gun to use.
-
Yeah, it seems a little weird. Only youtubers put out all the reviews quickly, while text based review sites are frequently waiting until one of their members received the gun.
-
Your not alone bud me and my work mate have spoken about this alot.
-
1 ReplyNo, it's a question of how much time you put in, first week all my chars were past 295 already
-
The devs wouldn't take the time to write new code simply to give people weapons every single time dlc drops
-
Motes of light instantly upgrade every exotic, 3 toons doing every activity every week nets you every weapon and armor pretty quickly. And everyone abused the 3 of coins glitch including streamers. If you check moreconsole he had less raid gear and guns than I did the first week: these people play a lot that's all.
-
It's not hard to get stuff if you play all day
-
1 ReplyYeah, I remember tripleWreck doing the 3 of coins farming and getting 2 special weapon engrams...Telesto and hereafter...But hey, coincidence, right? RIGHT, BUNGIE?!?!
-
Your not alone it's how I feel maybe they are just always first in line with RNGESUS
-
Sometimes as well, you-tubers have friends that play on their accounts when they aren't around. But besides that, those guys get paid to play video games. So their paycheck's reflect on their current status of the game. So they play a lot, stream some of it and get goodies along the way. And I too was raid ready by the first week.
