Yes, looking is how you would have found the relics. People look too much into things and then bitch after they've overhyped it. It is a repeating pattern that we have seen over and over again, and I do not expect it to change any time soon. This is part of what the Live Events team does, that Bungie has been talking about in Updates for the last few months. It is in their best interest to provide prolonged interest between releases. Why? Simple, really - because that is one of the things that this community has incessantly complained about. Community: There is nothing left to do. I'm bored. Bungie: We have a Live Events team who will be rolling things out, that we will be excited to share with you when the time is appropriate. Community: [Crickets chirping.] Bungie: Be on the lookout. Something will be happening soon. Community: Hype, hype, hype. Grumble, grumble, grumble. Hype, hype, hype. Bungie: Here you go. Community: Bungie is withholding content, again. I would rather have everything at once, so I can go back to bitching about having nothing left to do.

 • Couldn't tell you, as I have no idea what belongs to that team or not. We do not know everything that they will do/have done, but that they exist with a purpose of providing engagements outside of a regular release schedule. If this is the first one - then, not yet. However, I will be once I am back in front of one of my consoles.

 • Pretty sure it meant events like Queens Wrath that come in like Iron Banner..not time gating quests they hinted was there so we'd search for it.

 • They told people to look, but did not say for what. Again, it was people jumping to conclusions and building hype. I get it, people are disappointed. But, still, it is a proven tenant of this community to build things to a hype level that cannot be sustained. All I am saying is that they only started actively hinting at these sorts of things coming in the last few months, while timed events have been there from early on. Bungie is trying to keep people engaged and coming back, that is all. They've already shown this with the mission variations on Daily Heroics, etc. It is just further examples of when the community wants something, gets something along the lines of what they were asking for, and then are disappointed that it did not live up to ridiculously high standards. It will take time for them to refine how the process works, as they have already shown that they can implement massive amounts of community feedback, evidenced in 2.0.

 • I am all for timed content. Its great to get new stuff later on after release. I am all for mystery stuff you gotta find. I am not all for the devs saying its there you just arent doing it right keep looking. It honestly woulda been better if Banshee had said something like give me some time to think on this. Then we'd know its a waiting game. It was just done badly and leaves a sour taste in your mouth. Hopefully bungie learns and uses better context in game to show we are waiting on something instead of giving us one part of the quest and hinting we gotta find the rest.

 • Agreed. This is all still a learning experience for them. It is no simple task to be adaptive, in the software world. Users have a flock mentality - that is nothing negative, just a simple fact. When something is wanted, it is wanted "right now", but it almost invariably takes longer to create than it does to consume. If Bungie learned anything, I reckon it will be that they will more carefully choose their words. What they are delivering is just as much about setting expectations, as it is delivering to those expectations.
