The sleeper was just locked behind a timegate the whole time
The truth us out there, search the landscape he says....
The effort that was put into finding the sleeper especially over at r/searchforthesleeper is unreal. Bungie just let everyone spend countless hours of research and exploring just to laugh at us. This is the biggest disappointment in any game I've ever played. It couldve been so much better than a time released event. I'm still going to play but damn what a let down.
Bump if you agree so they know that simply time stamping a quest is unacceptable and just another artificial way to increase playtime
Edit: bungie said to look so the community did. Had they said nothing i wouldnt be as salty but they said it was out there and thats what bothers me

And Bungie, in spite of what you may think of them, are always listening and will more than likely create an exotic quest in the future that requires that amount of dedication as a "thank you" for their commitment. Watch, in year 3 (or even sooner) we will see a quest of the magnitude created by the community. I don't agree with you, but I am bumping this post anyway. Ignore the people who are acting stupid and calling you names because of your opinion on a video game. They are the "butthurt" ones because the only chance they get to seem like alphas is on the internet.

I will not defend bungie at all. They acted like it was some huge unfound secret and we needed to dig deeper,... uet the whole time it was hidden behind a time wall. Thats sad. And wrong of bungie to fruitlessly lead the player base down a rabbit hole

5 RepliesKids have the attention span of a goldfish these days. TTK has been out what, three weeks now? Just going into week four? Oh you poor souls having to wait so long for an exotic quest to open up. It's not like you had a ton of other stuff to do and collect in the meantime. But that doesn't matter, just have to have everything right now and can't accept that you might have to... *gasp*... WAIT A LITTLE BIT FOR SOMETHING. And maybe enjoy what you do have while you're waiting? Naw, like a kid with a shiny new toy they will forget all about it five minutes later and start drooling for the next new toy. Bungie should have waited longer honestly, because whenever this quest wraps up and we get the Sleeper we all know the forums will be full of: "WTF BUNGEE DATS IT?! I HAD TO WAIT A HOLE MUNTH 4 SLEEPER?! SUKS N E WAY LOLZ NOW I HEV NUTHIN LEF TO DU BECUZ I BURNED THRU EVRYTING IN A MUNTH DIS GAYME SUKS"

3 RepliesI dunno if it's the sleeper quest as I haven't got home...but I am getting slightly annoyed at these timed gates. For those without school or work, they have all day at these things. For me I'm stuck at work all day and when I get home I have to pray that today's that mission day and hope I have enough time to work on things. If the group I'm with is bad then it takes even longer. (Hence my lack of spindle still. *sigh) I want to be able to explore and unlock anything I want on my own time.

20 RepliesYou can expect the same thing to happen with all the currently unobtainable armor for each class. They said free new missions throughout the year... well here you have it. They just release it bit by bit to keep us occupied for a while. Very dissapointing if you ask me.

I asked point blank, is it possible, right now, to get this exotic? Radio silence. Anyway I knew it was locked because with millions of people playing the game someone would've stumbled across it if it was available. I even said as much on the forums.

3 RepliesI tried telling you all! Same with "no time to explain" and at least one exotic armor piece for each class. My theory is that they are going to slowly unlock them closer to the time that fallout 4 and other big titles come out. SS even still has more time to go after you charge the core.
