The truth us out there, search the landscape he says....
The effort that was put into finding the sleeper especially over at r/searchforthesleeper is unreal. Bungie just let everyone spend countless hours of research and exploring just to laugh at us. This is the biggest disappointment in any game I've ever played. It couldve been so much better than a time released event. I'm still going to play but damn what a let down.
Bump if you agree so they know that simply time stamping a quest is unacceptable and just another artificial way to increase playtime
Edit: bungie said to look so the community did. Had they said nothing i wouldnt be as salty but they said it was out there and thats what bothers me

I personally find it interesting that the beginning stages to the quest were released right after the big micro-transaction news that set the forums a blaze....
-
no one person can figure it out
What if the new time gate is just as long as the old one, making it so we can only do quest parts over 3 weeks
-
Because it was most likely glitched and Bungie wanted to cover that fact :D
-
-
There were plenty of easter eggs to be found. You did find somethng. Get over it.
-
I'd be keen to know if it was a result of that effort that triggered the quest mission appearing. Timing makes no sense
-
In theory some of the quest was there since day one you still had to collect the fusion part drops.

I have a feeling we haven't finished the questline for this gun. I dont want to put too many apples in one basket, but Bungie has a sneaky way of going about these kind of things; most notably, those damn skulls in halo. So many things have been hidden with TTK at this point it just wouldn't make sense to give everyone this gun with a couple of quests and public events, especially since this gun is supposedly gjallarhorn 2.0. Guess we will just have to wait and see.

This is now about pasta

And through looking we found all kinds of clues that made the quest easier and a lot of the theories were well put together. I think the way the community came together in our search was awesome and makes getting this gun more exciting. Not a waste.

Blame money.

This is a little unrelated But didn't someone find the cult ghost from the heroic paradox mission like last year?
-
They never forced anyone to spend anytime searching for anything.
-
I think this quest will only be available on the 7th of every month because that is Bungie's favorite number and they would like to do that kind of thing.
-
No the search was not pointless. We all found out the quest and the relics the only thing we didn't find was the trigger. So in my mind it was a job well done. I do hate the waiting game though. It would have been awesome though if it dropped on the date they found in the paradox code that matched the secret U.S. spy plane reveal. But o well
-
Its kinda lame, was hoping for an actual mystery to be unlocked somehow... still better than Gally RNG though. There's people with over 1000 hrs played who still didnt have it. lol
-
Time? That can't be right.
-
Sounds like a personal problem for taking shit like this too hard. It's a video game for god's sake
-
The gun is prob gonna suck anyway lolololol

Welcome to the destiny community! We can find ANYTHING to complain about.

Edited by Fluxed: 10/7/2015 6:43:22 PMSome people actually enjoy the hunt. Regardless of the outcome. It's fun to feel a part of something, especially with an entire community of like-minded people involved.

Agreed. Especially because I've been a follower of the searchforthesleeper page for quite some time now. I even put in my own effort in searching patrols, missions, etc. for hours. Bungie definitely used this as a marketing technique to make the game last longer. I do not appreciate what they've done with this weapon and what was suppose to be an epic quest line.
