Recon Armor will be overused 3 weeks after ODST is out.
Hey this is my first post here ever.
But am I the only one who thinks that the sight of someone wearing recon armor will soon become somewhat of a nuisance 3 weeks after ODST is out?
Seriously though, just like the time Halo 3 came out, once everyone got their hands on Hayabusa and that stupid katana, EVERYONE started wearing it and soon just became overrated. While of course, alot of people do prefer to wear different permutations because they don't wanna look like everyone else who uses Hayabusa we all know a majority of Halo 3's community wears the Hayabusa armor. Soon it will be just like this for the Recon armor. Once everyone get's it thats probably the only thing everyone will wear.

It's a mark of their oustanding acheivments in the UNSC, they wear it as a mark of importance, sir. It will be annoying after a while of course, because they will think of it as exclusive until Reach's release, I suppose.

It'll be like the Katana sword after they suddenly realeased all the new achievments. And it's crap. My campaign laggs on xbox live, so I can't get the Annual achiev' anyway...

well i dont know about u guys but once odst comes out first thing im doing is beating game on heroic than finishing up the vidmasters.that will take me around 5 days or 4.and i will not just wear one recon armor piece i will wear full because i have every other armor and i am bored of wearing it over and over.so i will do new vidmasters as soon as i can.

Ya know I really can't stand the Recon helmet so you can count me in not wearing it. I'm a scout and that's the way it'll stay. But yes I totally agree people are going to wear it because well first of all it's new. People are going to think that they are some kind of special person involved with bungie directly. As for the Katana I was lucky enough not to have it till it was already out of style so I use it now

SPOILER! There is an unconfermed achivement---- Classic Complete 1 level on legendary without firing a bullet or throwing a grenade! But after i figured it out...if you have 3 other guys with you..they can just beat the mission for you :P THis is true and will be a vidmaster [Edited on 08.03.2009 9:44 PM PDT]

yea like on halo 3 the vidmaster achvmnt: annual. how the f do u beat the last mission with ghosts if theres no ghosts on that mission???

I think that Bungie will have some surprises on the vidmasters, I have a feeling none of them will be easy.

I have 3 Vidmaster achievements (Annual, 7 on the 7th, and lightswitch) but, it'll probably be a while before I can get the other 4. I want Recon because personally, I think it looks cool. The only problem I see is people freaking out about playing someone in recon. I've had it happen once, not to me, one of my teammates kept yelling about the recon wearer on the opposing team. I muted him.

I agree with this post, but I won't get tired of Recon, I like Recon shoulders because they look similar to ODST shoulders. I also like Recon because it seems like it's hard to snipe. I'm gonna go around telling people that I killed Dare lol.

I hope the vidmaster challenges are a lot tougher than the ones in Halo 3. Something like beating the game under a certain time limit, on Legendary with all skulls on, or some of the Half Life 2 ways(ex. The 1 bullet fired achievement), will be a great way to keep the armor sought after, while making it an achievement to get it.
