Recon Armor will be overused 3 weeks after ODST is out.
Hey this is my first post here ever.
But am I the only one who thinks that the sight of someone wearing recon armor will soon become somewhat of a nuisance 3 weeks after ODST is out?
Seriously though, just like the time Halo 3 came out, once everyone got their hands on Hayabusa and that stupid katana, EVERYONE started wearing it and soon just became overrated. While of course, alot of people do prefer to wear different permutations because they don't wanna look like everyone else who uses Hayabusa we all know a majority of Halo 3's community wears the Hayabusa armor. Soon it will be just like this for the Recon armor. Once everyone get's it thats probably the only thing everyone will wear.

If one wants to get recon badly, it may be a challenge for them. The Endure vidmaster took me about 2-3 hours, 4 player co op legendary about 2 hours and not shooting a gun (or a horn) about an hour. People who are dedicated enough will get it, and people will work forz reconz.

It doesn't matter it will be like security and EOD only 40% of the players on halo 3 have the annual acheivment,plus they will have to basicly get it again because of the other acheivment deja vue

My guess is most wont have recon due to the vidmaster difficulty.[/quote] when me and my mates got annual we had terrible conections lol and we still powered through it we had good times though, i'll only get anoyed with recon iff people keep using the entire suit i will use the ches peice but ODST helm is the best and i might use the use the shoulder pads

Why does it matter if it's over used? If you earn it, you earn it. Eventually everyone will go back to original armour perms anyway, or use one piece of Recon.

I think most of us think it is going to be hard to get the all the vidmaster achievements on odst, the leaked footage of the achievements look quite challenging. So no Recon will not be over used within three weeks. People who enjoy the game and want a challenge knock yourself out, I know I will be loving the challenge. See you in Firefight.

Yeah, after looking at those Vidmasters and the leaked ODST campaign gameplay, I can honestly say they will be more difficult than the Annual one. Annual was fun, but one of these will just be ridiculously hard. All of them will be pretty difficult, actually. It will take a lot of team work, and for the solo ones, it will require a lot of patience. Basically, there won't be a lot of 12 year old kids running around in Recon day 1. There will be the few extremely skilled players, and about a month in, I expect all those who can get it to have it, while the rest will take another few months. By January 2010, there might be a good amount, but I think most people will give up after a month. It won't become overused, I don't think. It's like when the Legendary achievements were unlocked, a lot of people started wearing the Security and Katana armors, which is right when I stopped wearing it. I wore those before because I could be proud of my 1000/1000 gamerscore, but that just ruined it. So now I wear my Mark V or Commando, because not everybody can get that Overkill in Lone Wolves, and I'm proud of myself for having the current possibly 1575/1575 gamerscore. I'm ready for the full 1750, though, and my Recon armor will be a moment of pride for me.

dude the vidmasteres are extremly hard and they have said many times "It takes a skilled player" to beat them all including the classic so its harder than everyone thinks it is

Question is, how do you know?[/quote] they wont because *apparantly* one of the new vidmaster achivements is to complete the game on legendary remember your weaker and also without shooting the aliens..you have to punch through the entire campagin. not that i like recon because look at it its all messed!!! if i could choose any it would be just normal odst armour or a flaming odst helmet because normal odst looks better.

honestly, no it wont. the vidmasters in halo 3 odst will be pretty dang hard, so there will be alot of gamers that are unable to unlock it. but even if it is, so what? who really cares? within awhile, people will just get tired of it and revert back to their old armor. this isnt that big a deal

I have school that week, so ill probs go through campaign on normal/heroic after school, maybe some H3 matchmaking, then the weeked will arrive and i will want to know, Who would want to do the VIDMASTERs?, but does anyone know if we will need the H3 disc anymore ? i hope not, i might take it back/sell it

well think of it this way. people that suck ballz at halo 3 are not going to get it. you have to be pretty descent and you have to have some experience in playing halo 3. if people know u suck, they r not going to wanna team up with you to get the achievements.

Duh Also it'll probably take a while for them to get it, the vidmasters are likely to be hard, so all the rabid recon lovers will have to take the time to find friends (gasp!) and then go through challenge.

there is........ one vidmaster achievement makes u play a campaign mission with iron skull,some other skull,and u cant throw grenades or shoot only melee but its ur choice of mission and it gotta be solo legendary.not sure about the solo thing tho. [Edited on 08.13.2009 11:28 PM PDT]

One of the acheivements should be getting ALL other achievements in halo 3 and H3 ODST

Unless bungie can do something about people leaking the locations of skulls or make the vidmasters as challenging as the ones for marathon, it will be extremely overused.

I definitely think that the whole get your hands on recon was bittersweet because you can finally have the most wanted armor in the game but now it will no longer be special since anyone can get it. The only reason recon is so glorified in the first place is because only certain people were able to get it. Now that it is available to anyone who accomplishes the vidmaster challenges, it will end up being like security armor and the katana or hayabusa.
