Came across this and thought It may be useful for fellow gamers.
If you have downloaded the 3.0 update for your PS4 and it will not read your discs, delete your disk based games data from your PS4 and re-install the game. I am sure Sony will have another update soon to rectify this issue.

I notice that it seems like you prefer Xbox over PlayStation like a mile and while that's fine it's pretty obvious. Wow, did you see this Xbox game, it's amazing. Or, don't buy the 1 tb ps4, and now this. You always seem to make post making PlayStation seem like it's full of bugs and I've never seen you do something like that for Xbox.

Lol i always thought the disc was a key after the install and yoy needed said key to open the doorway to fun. Atleast that's what these long ass installs make me think

I hope you don't find it weird that I am only commenting to better get your post trending. Best of luck to my fellow gamers getting their game on.
-
XboxOne sometimes has this problem too, which is why it's always better to download a game rather than get a hard copy.
-
Is it happening with your Ps4?
-
I've downloaded 3.0 and it's reads all my discs :)
-
I'm glad I haven't updated yet!
-
This is the first I've heard of it
-
I'm fine though?
-
Happened to me with MGSV. I downloaded 3.0 and then put my console in rest mode. When I woke it up again it wouldn't read the disc. Said that it was unsupported data. Removing and inserting the disc again did nothing. Turned the console off properly though and restarted and it was fine. No deleting or reinstalling necessary thankfully.

I'm sorry to hear that that's happening. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Good thing all my games are digital. Except AC4.

FYI only, if this is fixed? Please let me know and I will delete the tags.
