All these games people point out are single player titles, not shared world/ mmo titles that take boatloads of money to maintain

No i like this way better. Some people that are willing to pay will buy this content and fund everything but those who can't afford more than the yearly game can still play and not miss anything. Now all our friends will be there C=

I don't buy that for a second. There will still be paid dlc. It's written into bungies contract.

Yea but seeing how that went I'm sure activision is willing to alter the contract. I feel like this will work better if they do it

It would, but Activision doesn't have to do anything. They have all the leverage, since they gave bungie a half a billion dollars. They have no incentive to alter their deal. More high priced dlc = more money for them.
