From what I'm hearing that's how cod first started with just accessory items.

Well call of duty can't be compared. Besides bungie didn't make call of duty...

They don't control what's in game. Activision also own blizzard but they still do what they want with their game

Back to my original statement, they still have a hand in it. We saw what happened with COD. Activision wanted $$$$ so it happened and, in turn, Sledgehammer got $$$$. Now it's up to Bungie how much money they really want and believe is enough.
