Beats SWTOR's site. That game has full F2P support, yet you can't use the forums at all unless you're a subscriber, regardless of how much you play the game for free. Alienating players that are actively playing your game is a hilariously bad concept.

  • Damn, they seriously did that? Man. I was able to use the SWTOR forum when Beta testing the game just like any other forum - create an account, start posting. What is the world coming to when even video game Internet forums put up a "purchase game, pay to register" sign up on their door. I thought Bioware were better than that. Sorry to drag the conversation away from Bungie's latest gaffe, that news just shocked me. I thought only Bungievision could be that clumsy with greed.

  • Compared to the SWTOR site, requiring a linked account to Destiny to access this site is child's play.

  • That's terrible. Both tactics are deplorable to be honest but at least the brainiac who invisioned the Bungie.net lockout was clumsy enough to leave a back door via character registration.
