The detail I don't get about the Oryx fight...

So, I'm preparing for Oryx and there's one thing I don't get. Tell me if any of this is wrong: - Oryx hits platform, indicating where the sequence of platforms begins - Ogres spawn as people get on platforms - Platform sequence complete - Knight spawns with shield, person with relic comes down so we can damage him - We take his shield, get into firing position, pop a weapons of light nearby and dps the hell out of Oryx - AND HERE IS THE PART I CAN'T GET: I've seen people go to these orbs, on videos it says 'Corrupted Light Detonated' or something like that. What is that stuff? Why is it necessary? Is there an order to doing this? It's the only part I don't get on videos, and I'm having issues finding a video that explains this part, as it always seems like a minor/quick event. Please do correct me if any of those things are wrong! Haven't done it yet but want now I'm 294 and I'm ready-ish to start. :) Thanks all!

  • They are essentially bombs and your main damage vs oryx. Everyone has to stand in one until they are primed. Then run back into the bubble before they detonate. To do max damage you need to set off all four. Timer starts whenever someone starts one.

    • Hi, After you kill the ogre (the 4 that spawn by each platform), as each ogre dies, it leaves behind a black orb called Corrupted Light. After you stagger Oryx the first time, 4 players need to run quickly back to the Corruoted Light and stand in them for about 4 seconds, which detonates them. Detonating them does a large amount of damage to Oryx
