Cannot allocate required memory error...
just updated my windows xp sp3 partition with the latest updates and installed the 9.6 ati drivers and now i got this when my halo servers start(for halo and halo ce) as well as normal halo and halo ce:
Cannot allocate required memory. Some other application has loaded where halo needs to be located.
my friend has exactly the same problem he also has windows xp service pack 3 and an ati gpu.
I was wondering if other people have the same problem and maybe have a fix for it as well?
or is this just an problem with windows xp sp3 Dutch(non English version of xp?)

I had an issue with: Gathering Exception data which produced: Halo executable has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. (From the article you posted) what I did was uninstall Halo and then reinstall Halo. If you still have the problem after the game is installed again and updated, then I guess you will have to roll back those updates. I honsestly don't know how, but I would check for the updated in add/or remove programs.

You might have to uninstall those updates. Aslso can you post your specifications?
