Ok, I just got the red spectre from crucible and it's ok, I just got taken King and destiny in the first place so I just got my hunter lvl 40 with 243 light and tried my first vanguard strike today. After using the red spectre I felt it was underpowered as if it a whole mag to kill 2 lv41 enemy's

I'm working on that but even in crucible it doesn't feel powerful maybe coz I'm used to cod where it's fast kills but also light level raised for better damage or what's?

Light level increases your damage done and reduces damage you take. Higher light=higher damage.
