One of my favorite activities in Destiny is strikes. Strike specific drops are an amazing incentive to continue to do these strikes for hours on end, but therein lies the problem. The strike specific rewards have the most broken drop rate I've experienced in a game. Myself and my group of friends have all been huge Destiny fans since basically day one. We were all madly in love with Fatebringer, and when we found out that you could get a Fatebringer clone from the Undying Mind strike (Imago Loop), we became obsessed with farming for it. Collectively, we've ran the strike on every possible playlist countless times. I know myself and my friend Shadow have well over 200 completions since TTK dropped. (For those clever kids who will spy my grimoire, we've spent most of our time on the "classified" lvl 40 version.) We've even spent 6+ hours in some cases speed running it, we even set like 5 consecutive world records, 3:57 being our fastest. Now, with that dedication, what has been our reward? Between the 6-7 of us, we've seen 9 Imago Loops, all of which had bad rolls. 6 of the 9 dropped to one guy, but personally, I've seen 0. The drop rate is clearly way too low, and even then, the roll will more than likely be terrible. My suggestion is that the drop rate be brought up to between 3%-5%, or create a rerolling option for strike specific weapons only, but make it expensive. 3 Legendary Marks, 3 Weapon parts and a mote would be pretty balanced, imo. Regardless, something needs the be done. Tl;dr: strike specific weapons drop rate is WAY too low for such a ridiculously random perk roll chance. This search has been exhausting. Edit 3: update - nightfalls have been pretty successful. We're at 26 total Loops. Still. No. Firefly. We're losing our shit. Edit 4: Un4gotten1 got one with firefly. Our 28th loop. Also, I'm pretty sure we got a sub 4 nightfall Edit 5: Shadowfax182 got one with firefly from just casually doing a heroic. Has will of light too. Basssssturrrrd amirite
