Wow over 1200 replies, thanks guys
Having read most of the responses :
Some would without hesitation which I agree with. At the end of the day its a video game and if you have someone willing to give you real money which you can spend on more important things then it's a no brainer.
To the people saying no that would mean it's about $1 an hour my response to that is..... Its a video game. You cannot compare a real job to the time you spend on a video game it's not even close to being the same. Saying I earn $1000 a day/week/month etc doesn't mean you should get paid the same for putting time into a video game.
The original post was with the idea of someone giving you $1000 to shut down your destiny account and never play it again so you would not be able to simply delete the account then restart and get to the same light level 2 weeks later. It would mean packing in destiny and not playing it in the future.

Yeah, I'd take that. I'm saving up to buy an engagement ring, and that would help a lot! Plus, I'd just start new characters and start over :)
-
I still enjoy the game, and I have a bunch of friends getting into it, so no. I mean I've been here since day 1 and like 450 hours total, but that doesn't matter
-
$1k? Hell I'll take it.
-
Nope over 1800 hours on this account for destiny
-
Games are for fun you dipshit
-
I would delete my characters so -blam!-ing fast, by the time you even BLINK, I'm halfway done a line on a hooker's ass cheek.

Yup, show me the money.
-
Yeah I would. I don't play much anymore as it is. Plus then I could just pick up a xbone. So win win.
-
Absolutely
-
Id do it in a heart beat get the money and start a new account. Not like its hard to hit 40 and get new gear.

-
Yes. The money would go towards a gaming computer and fallout 4.
-
If you gave me $1000 to turn my xbox off forever. I would do it.
-
In two weeks, maybe. With battlefront finally coming out.
-
I would not
-
Have to give me the money first.
-
Easily. I could just put all my stuff in the vault and re level xD
-
-
Sure i would upgrade consoles and get halo 5
-
-
Well, this would be the week to do it with F4 around the corner.

Edited by jitsudave: 11/4/2015 2:40:41 PM$1000 isn't close to being a reasonable amount of money. You can't do anything with $1000. It's only when you get to $5000 lump sums become meaningful

Edited by Mr JJ Rogers: 11/4/2015 2:37:14 PMNo, mainly because of the friends and experiences it has given me. That much money is not even close to a good amount to replace those experiences for me.
A million dollers on the other hand is a diffrent story
I'd do it in a heartbeat maybe starting over would make this game fun again
