So far Ive gotten that awful auto rifle 4 times and the pulse rifle. Both seem a little lack luster for a raid weapon. I havent laid hands on the Scout or Hand Cannon. But I feel like these guns would feel more special of they had elemental damage. That auto rifle kicks like a mule even with stability turned up. The pulse is better but not by much. I do really like the LMG though
Edit. This topic is simply for a discussion. As I stated above I dont have the hand cannon or scout yet. I do want to try out the scout. Just my opinon with the auto and pulse those werent amazing although the pulse was much better then the auto

I've found the shotgun and scout rifle to be pretty average. I'm betting the great raid weapons are being saved for hard mode. VoG made it too easy to get the best guns in the game, you could hit 29 and get the vision and found verdict from a 26 VoG. I'm hoping Kings Fall proves hard enough that even when theres a lvl cap increase people will struggle with it, making hard mode raid gear more meaningful.

I only got the auto rifle and launcher. Auto rifle was nice cause it got my hung jury to 305 and the launcher came as a 310 with tracking and I love the thing

IMO The auto rifle is pretty ridiculous when it comes to stability if it wasn't 300+ I would not even use it. Once you get the fusion upgraded all the way it seems decent but the shotgun dominates over it. I like the sniper ok and yes, the lmg is great and the hand cannon if you have armor with quick reload perk. I don't have the pulse, scout, or launcher yet. It doesn't matter because the touch of malice dominates for deathsingers and Oryx.

-blam!- the auto rifle. Rather use my dead orbit one thats 300. Does a better job. As for the hand cannon. Its what ever. I got mine with firefly so im liking it so far. Thats all i have so far

1 ReplyI'm enjoying the Pulse Rifle a lot. Not a big fan of the HC but it feels like they nerfed all HCs out of relevancy. AR is crap. Still waiting on the scout.

Use them for fodder to power up other weapons, thats what i do, until i get one with a good roll that is.

I couldn't care less about the lack of elemental damage. I like that they tried something new to differentiate the raid weapons. Elemental should be reserved for special, heavy, and select exotics imo

Yeah they're all pretty terrible. It's only normal though, and wasn't that hard. No way they would give us top tier weapons so easily. Hopefully hard mode versions will have better stats on top of burns.

Ive got the scout and auto yesterday from oryx. The auto is horrible. The scout is pretty good imo.

Honestly they all look the same to me I know that they are unique because of the style but I don't feel like they are guns and they are cosmetically an eyesore to look at a hope the next dlc we get better looking raid armour and weapons.... I also hate that all the armour is more tailored to fit guy characters.... Don't get me wrong my titan is a male but my hunter and warlock are female and the raid armour looks absolutely horrible on them

The pulse rifle is all I've aquired so far and tbh I'm happy. The sniper is pretty beast too.

I've gotten the MG, the shotgun, the auto rifle and the scout. I really enjoy the scout rifle, but I infused away the auto rifle almost immediately. The stats on the hand cannons make me REALLY worried, because it does look good stat wise. I really want the pulse rifle. I also want the sniper. I think they wanted to give us all of the raid weapons now to let us figure out what we'd like to have when the hard and heroic modes drop, so that we don't have to get these weapons and then just dismantle or infuse them after we figured out that they suck, so good on you bungie for that, but I'm not really impressed. They put a lot of effort into the foundries, and I feel as though they should have done the same thing with the raid weapons, as in, give us at least two different raid variants per weapon subclass (two hand cannons, two scours, two snipers, ect.) So that we can test all if it out. Put each of the two weapons at opposite ends of the archetypes, or something like that they could have been much better.

2 RepliesI gave my auto rifle to a side character. It's really underwhelming and I'll probably infuse it into something else eventually. I'm loving the Pulse Rifle though, it's awesome. Same with the LMG. Those two I'll keep probably until the Heroic Raid gives something better. I had the Fusion Rifle and it was super powerful, but I ended up infusing it into my Telesto because it's recoil made it useless and uncontrollable as hell in a real firefight, Telesto is way better. (I know it's not a primary, but still a Raid weapon.) Visually the weapons look good - I like the effects on some of them, like when you fire the pulse rifle small plumes of smoke come out the sides.

Overall not very impressed at all. They all look too similar. I'm not a fan when a single theme is re-used excessively. There should have been much more variation in the weapon skins. Hell I don't really like the skins at all, in general. Coulda been much better. Stat wise they aren't the best either. Nothing really sets them apart from normal weapons. Would have been nice to have elemental damage even on the normal raid weapons, but apparently that's only coming with the hard mode versions (which will also be black.. but still looks ugly).

I really feel that the raid weapons have useless perks. Everything deals with being slowed or surrounded.
