Why did you guys have to bring this gun into year two? It's incredibly OP now and is just about the lamest gun there is. That shit should have been left in the past with Thorn. Keep it in mind if you're going to to leave guns behind come year 3.
EDITS: Why is it OP? Because you don't need to pick and choose engagements, take cover, or play smart. You can easily shred entire elimination teams solo if you are careful. It has high impact for sniper staggering and range for days. 2 shots if you connect to the head. It's just as bad as Thorn was but because it actually benefits the user instead of screwing the enemy nobody says anything about it. Expect to see a lot of them in ToO. I'm already seeing a ton of them in normal elimination.
For all you clever little boys noticing I have a Red Death equipped, I find demonstrating the OPness of stuff like this helps it get nerfed a little quicker. Working on a little montage.
Also please learn to read before you say "OMFG HE HAS RED DEATH EQUIPPED LOLOLOLOL."
Ya know, I had a thread just like this one time too.... It was about final round sniper rifles though.... Got a lotttttt of shit for calling on a nerf for that (was really tired of seeing total scrubs shoot two rounds into a wall then body shotting me). I rerolled my efrideets until I got final round and then scrubbed it up until finally a glorious thing happened..... Remember what happened to final round? Butthurt crying because I disagree with you won't make this thread go away so give it a rest or at the very least form a counter-argument.

It's "OP" if you kick in the door and go genocide on the whole squad in 4 seconds. Pulse rifles are the most balanced gun out right now. Giggty. GIT. GUD.

It's not really a noob gun. Red death has always been an awesome weapon. I've had red death forever, and it's my baby. But even then there are lots of times it isn't going to cut it. You HAVE to get the two head shots, and even then, ive died tons of times to other weapons, so I got a paleocontact. That's a great weapon as well. To be honest I'd rather use an exotic sword. They are the real powerhouses in pvp and pve

3 RepliesPlease, if you cant take them down thats your own problem, now thorn and last word; wanna know why thy were overpowered? They required close to know skill (though last word did require some aim) but pulse rifles and hawkmoon do because of recoil, bullet spread, DF, enemy shifting. Seriously almost every weapon takes some layer of skill, and almost everything in this game can be conquered by something else.

It doesn't need a nerf. It's not over powered. It needs to be competed against and since this new update hand cannons aren't there to put red death in it's place. If they keep nerfing things nothing will get solved. They need to balance all the weapons properly. It's a tough task and hopefully they'll get it right soon....

And then that weapon will be used, because it gets consistent kills. Whichever gun gets people kills most consistently, they're going to use. If red death gets nerfed, the next gun that people find that gets them the most kills will be used. Guns are supposed to kill. Would you rather they just do away with the guns totally and everyone just uses melee in the crucible? It would be fair right? But, how stupid in a fps? Hey, Petition to never nerf anything ever again! Sign here!
