Why do people still use op year 1 weapons?
So, every game, there is that one guy who has a matador or a messenger. Why?
Is it because you are not good enough to succeed with new, balanced weapons?
Before people say I'm jealous or whatever, I have a matador, BTRD and lots more.
Imo, people who do this ruin what would otherwise be a great pvp experience.

Edit: I seem to have worded this badly. I don't care if people use ldr invectives etc. I am only complaining about things such as the matador and messenger that are still op.
Edit 2: lol so much hate. Never done this before it's really fun.
Edit 3: wow this has really taken off! As suggested in a comment, I will suggest an alternative to some of the weapons I'm complaining about:
Messenger- red death, similar RoF/Impact but with slightly more recoil. Will work well in IB next week.
Shotgun: the new monarchy vendor version is a beast

1 ReplyIt isn't just Year 1 stuff, scout and pulse rifles are just really good overall right now. Year 2 Red Death is a monster. I'm just enjoying using some of the Year 1s because I can use things like Mida more often.

Tonight I was using whatever crap I run around PvE with. It's actually kind of funny. One guy even asked me why I was using the Black Spindle on my titan. I'm too lazy to switch, and obviously it wasn't too bad since I managed to get enough kills with it.

I suppose its because you play to win not play to have your arse handed to you. I play better with voc in my hands rather than hung jury, and partycrasher over most other shotguns. Not saying they are op by any means because its only voc but maybe people prefer the feel of a gun they have grown to trust and simply prefer it over the new ones.

Just to inform you, there are 2.0 ver of Party Crasher+1, Matador 64 that can be obtain from playing crucible which come with 260+ and can also be infuse like all other Y2 purples.

Bro if your having trouble with a messanger stop playing. That gun is by no means op. In actuality people who switch guns because thier op should be the problem. Like when everyone was running suros until it got nerfed. No one used it after. Even if people liked the gun they didnt use it. Everyone was on thorn and the last worx, party crasher ,matador,ash factory etc. The update came and people switched again. People want whats gonna give them an advantage, and right now crucible is horribly broken any way. Connection is crap and majority of the time the guy red barring is the top guy. But you know what i still run thorn ,and do decent enough. While every other jack is running red death. Which no one used until the update. Point being worry about the idiots who actuall run guns that become op aftef the up date shotguns were nerfed.

I don't see a problem with Just playing the damn game. It seems as if we can't play a game for enjoyment anymore because people have to put you down about every little thing you do. Learn player awareness and you can get away from shotguns pretty easily.

You said it yourself, they're op. Personally, I feel that year one primaries and secondaries should be limited to the classic playlist.

5 RepliesYour title says it all, I wish everyone could move on and just have fun. I also find it annoying still being sniped by any of the perfect rolled shotguns. I mean I have one of each myself, but they are only trophies anymore, learn to move forward!
