WHAT THE -blam!- DOES THIS MISSION WANT FROM ME
-blam!- YOU BUNGIE. I have defended this game to the death BUT TELL ME WHOSE -blam!-ING BRAINCHILD IT WAS TO MAKE A MISSION WHERE THE BOSS IS IN A CIRCULAR ROOM, YOU CANT GO ON THE FLOORS CUZ ITS -blam!-ING LAVA, YOU CANT STAND AROUND CUZ THE CEILING THROWS DOWN FIRE ON YOU, YOU CANT HIDE CUZ TAKEN SPAWN -blam!-ING CONSTANTLY, AND THE SHIELDED ASSHOLES KEEPING THROWING YOU AROUND WHILE INVINCIBLE MINOTAURS ATTACK YOU AND THE TAKEN GIVING THEM THEIR INVINCIBILITY ARE HIDING LIKE 10 FEET AWAY, OH AND THE WHOLE TIME -blam!-ING ORYX ECHO KEEPS THROWING HIS -blam!-ING LASER BALL ATTACKS AT ME AND BURNING THE FLOOR WHEREVER IM STANDING AS IF A -blam!-ING CEILING FULL OF JETPACKS THROWING FIRE AT ME WASN'T ENOUGH ALREADY. OH AND THERES -blam!-ING BLIGHT EVERYWHERE SO MY SHIELD REGENERATES AT THE SPEED OF A -blam!-ING SNAIL
TELL ME WHAT THE -blam!- YOU WANT? HOW THE -blam!- IS SOMEONE SUPPOSED TO BEAT THIS MISSION ON THEIR OWN? I CAN'T SIT ANYWHERE TO RECOVER MY SHIELD LONG ENOUGH, I CANT RUN AWAY CUZ THE ROOM IS A -blam!-ING CIRCLE AND I CANT EVEN KILL EVERYTHING CUZ IT KEEPS RESPAWNING FASTER THAN I CAN KILL IT WITH -blam!-ING SHIELDED MINOTAURS AND INVINCIBLE PSIONS RIDING MY ASSHOLE

Hey, I soloed this mission. You need to stay in ONE spot. It took me 3 wipes but I finally got it. The point is to only damaged echo of oryx when most of the adds are cleared so you won't get hit.

1 ReplyEdited by Kell of Kellogs: 10/4/2015 5:38:16 AMHi, In order to solo that (for story mission as well as the Touch of Malice quest), I had to really take my time. Spend as long as you have to clearing adds and destroying blights. Make sure everything is clear before working on the boss. If you bring help, try to chain supers to generate orbs for each other. Work together burning down the blights that spawn enemies.

2 RepliesDude it can be done. Camp in the doorway that you enter from and when the echo spawns hit him with your high powered sniper. You can get him to a third of health which will spawn the wizard. Super it and use your heavy. Job done. Took me a few attempts to nail it. I tried looking for ppl to help but took way too long. If your still struggling I'm on xbox one. Gt is boabby wan. I'll give you a hand

1 ReplyCap lock really doesn't make me want to help...swearing doesn't either but I'll take the bait and say stand in the doorway and shoot his head when he appears then clear adds asap then shoot his head again. Simple.

Another thing i did was a took the echo down as fast as possible i have a 290 hereafter sniper and it rekt oryx

2 RepliesEdited by fountain fever: 10/4/2015 6:31:35 AMDude... calm down -_- Think about it; the mission is 290 light and with the quest can reward the Touch of Malice, the mission is supposed to be hard. If you're really complaining that much about how hard the mission is then: 1) Don't walk in the poison 2) The adds are more important than the boss (you don't have to kill the boss but rather a wizard that spawns instead) 3) Find a stationary place you can take care of all enemies (where you spawn) 4) Get help with the mission 5) Call a mental hospital. If you're willing to waste your time writing a hateful essay on how difficult the mission is, then you have problems 6) Get gud Hope this helped, have a nice day! :) P.S. 5 RepliesI'd recommend calming down. That missions is tough is general let alone really hard when your mad. Focus on the boss and keeping a clear area around you to take him out l. I'd offer to help but im about to go to bed and only on PS4. It's a really tough one and having some help really changes the battle. Hang in there and try to find a friend.

When you stay in the spawn door as the other person mentioned, it's much easier. You only have to worry about some weak enemies, and the echos attacks can be dodged easily.
