Just watched this video and was wondering how they even thought to do this? Bungie leak?

8 Replies20 million players. At least 5 guardians have to have an IQ higher than a backed potato. It may even be 10 :D

4 RepliesI've always wondered how some people can find the most outrageous things in games such as this. Same goes for cheeses, wallbreaches, etc. I guess they have nothing better to do but look for stuff.

Thousands of guardians working on this for several days. Impressive stuff

FIRST noticed the inactive piston at the entrance SECOND little exploring found the closed door THIRD made it across cheesing it, no reaction. FOURTH looked to open it | only thing reactive was the lights FIVE found 6 lights, SIX HOURS after a Portuguese team entered, we finally found the code by cross-referencing replays SEVEN we enter the code and immediately notice the piston active EIGHT launch yourself across, just like for the other lights NINE we play basketball. It's more than an easter egg.
-
Because it's never just one dude. Someone says, " hey, why is this the only inactive piston?", then someone else decides to look for a way to activate it, they find spiky crystals that you can interact with, someone else finds more, someone else realizes putting them in an order may do something, someone else finds the order, someone else notices that activates the piston, then someone else notices there's a room across the gap that opened, then someone finds out how to get across. And now everyone has their spinmetal hats on trying to figure out what it is and why it's there. People keep saying its an unfinished mechanic and yadda yadda yadda, but being around since halo I know Bungie has a habit of putting stuff in very hard to reach places. I'm not sure it's something monumental like a lot assume, could just be an Easter Egg. But I do agree it's not figured out yet. The payoff hasn't happened, however small that payoff may be.

2 RepliesEdited by Phat King Bing: 10/4/2015 3:14:00 AMBlack spindle was found by some dumb ass friend of a random kid playing the daily. The friend apparantly thought it was funny to run off. And boom. The spindle was found. It's not that hard to understand with the amount of idiots playing the game. And I'm one of them.

4 RepliesThis could be false but Deej was in the fireteam that found it. Wasn't he?. I'm guessing he had something to do with its discovery.
-
First week of the raid we discovered that those spikes lit up, half of my fire team wanted to try to see what they unlocked but the other half didnt so we moved on, if we had three more people thirsty for secrets wedve probably found it too
-
We all find these hidden things randomly. Most of us will try a few times to get something to happen, then we'll give up. The minority of players will, well...they'll go out of their way to try and uncover the secrets, even using a glitching way, to access areas that are locked, or by using mod consoles. All those vids showing how to glitch into the Mine, then a few days later it was officially opened. Few days later....just saying, something to think about, to simulate your mind b4 you sleep...

I'm very certain that a lot of people found these glowing lamps day 1 of the raid, and found out that they glow when you get near them, it just took us until now to figure out that they had to be activated in order with the help of a 6 players.
-
My group did this day one when i noticed there were 6 and also the fact they changed color. After a few hours we gave up due to it being late. Glad someone finished our progress lol

2 RepliesEdited by LenzoTruth: 10/3/2015 5:47:25 PMI thought the lamps did something in my first run but my group didn't care :P now I'm rubbing it in their faces

My friend pointed out the hole in the wall last weekend cause he saw it on the forums. No one knew how to get there tho so we just left it for dedicated people to find lol
-
because the spikes change colors when a player jumps on them, not many knew this but its pretty clear somethings there to find if you understand that fact from the start, next all it took was someone finding a door. really isnt that hard to believe.
