Scene 2 Part 2
They arrived in the tower just in time to see Rahool take the engram from Zara. He rustled around in his shack, and Sanders and Ralph walked up. Zara whipped her head around.
"What?" She snapped. "Well, we just wanted to see what you got." Ralph said, sounding slightly strained. Zara visibly relaxed. The cryptarch walked up, with that trolly grin of his plastered across his face, clutching something underneath a cloth. "Rahool." Zara said, removing her helmet, letting her short, spiky purple hair fall out from her hood. "I swear, if that's a No Land Beyond..." She hissed dangerously, setting her hands on her knives, ice cold eyes piercing his. Electricity started to flicker dangerously from her skin. "Well, you don't have a ghost for revival, don't you?" The cryptarch gulped, then whipped back around and started to shuffle some more, obviously switching what was under the cloth with something else. "No wonder everyone hates you." Ralph sighed. "You're the only guardian who blackmails other guardians." "I really don't care." Zara replied with a hint of boredom. The cryptarch turned back around once more, pressed the Red Death in Zara's hands, and hid behind his tent. Sanders shuddered: so that was where that gun had gone. The gun that had killed his parents and Ralph's, as well as several other guardians. He shook his head, trying to clear the memory of feeling his father's blood splatter him. Meanwhile, Zara was staring at the gun, with a look Sanders had seen only once before on Zara's face: fear. Zara turned around suddenly, and as if her life depended on it slammed the gun into the vault. "What's wrong?" Sanders said; maybe a relative of hers had been killed as well. "Nothing....I just need to unwind in the crucible. Don't call me unless absolutely necessary, ok?" She said, voice wavering slightly. Sanders nodded in understanding.
"And by no means take that gun from the vault. We clear?" Zara said sternly, and Trevor, her ghost, appeared. "Zara..." Trevor said in a sad voice. "Take me to orbit, Trevs." She said in a defeated voice. Trevor silently leaped them to orbit, and Sanders and Ralph watched her ship fly into the starry sky. "What was that all about? I mean, our parents were killed, but we've gotten over it." Ralph muttered.
"Maybe it was something about her actually holding the gun. I mean, if I had gotten ahold of it, I would have broken it over my knee." Sanders pointed out.
