Maybe the hack bit was just a joke. I've heard people say that when someone asked how they did something cool they didn't know about (like cheesing the VoG jumping puzzle with a Titan).
If so, I don't know how or why it would have happened. MAYBE Destiny has a feature that if the fireteam leader starts lagging too much it will pass the torch? No idea.

I can tell you I was not lagging.....why is this the only type of response I am getting. I don't mean any disrespect to you. There has to be another explanation though...

Because it seems like an odd thing. Like I said, I hear the "I hacked" joke often enough when something weird goes on that it's just common. Like... why risk getting perma-banned from Destiny just to take over Fireteam leader responsibilities and not boot the old fireteam leader? It's like holding up a gas station attendant with a firearm so you can PAY him the proper amount for gasoline.
