Too bad Bungie made us do it for our exotic sword. If people just stopped killing those who are obviously doing the quest and let them have a few kills they will be out of the way asap. I struggled for a few matches to get 1-2 kills until 2 buddies jumped in and helped plus some helpful random in the matches noticed and would just run upto you and let you kill them. Be mad at Bungie not the poor guy forced to run around with 1/10th his weapon trying to get 2 hits on people before they shoot him whole basically unarmed

Make sure you level your other 2 swords on your main character (the one you completed the crucible kills with), it allows you to skip the crucible step for future exotic sword quests...

Just go into the mayhem game mode. With how often heavy spawns it's easy to get within a couple matches

I did it legit easily. Never needed my hilt and never needed someone to let me cheat.

Didn't know having friends help you was cheating but whatever I just enjoy playing with friends and we did it together

Did your friends let you farm off of them? Cuz that's definitely cheating.

I didn't see it say you had to kill people you didn't know. Tbh there where people in rumble who saw me trying and would let me kill them as we. But hey guess I'm a cheater. I'll keep cheating away with my nice gear, good friends, and enjoyable time with the game. All while violating 0 rules.

You're damn lucky if people let you hilt them, my god the shotguns. I know for sure I'll let people get Hilt kills.

I was playing rumble and this guy doing the quest let me kill him and every time I killed him I'd let him kill me

Do it in rumble then. Stop doing it in team based modes.
