I'm pretty concerned about the Telesto in PvP

I'm not usually too vocal about where I think the game needs balancing, other than Shotguns I'm fine. But as someone who is awful with Fusion Rifles, I shouldn't go in a positive K/D my first match with Telesto, even if most of my kills were one for one. Overall the weapon feels pretty overpowering and I know why it's predicted to become the Gally 2.0 I'm concerned for how PvP will turn out if/when Xur sells this, especially for Iron Banner and Trials. Maybe I'm over reacting and I just never had the right fusion rifle, but goddamn this thing is powerful.

  • Publicly proclaimed "Fushion rifle scrub" here and i can say that besides the explosive damage giving it the ability to do damage to groups, the telesto is too unreliable, and has too much of a delay to replace my normal high stability fushion rifles. I want them dead now, not in 3 seconds.

Lol dont try an start a nerf. Its fine. Its fixing my withdrawls in pve for my gally and thorn as I can fire and forget lol. Wizards stand no chance and same with a lot of bosses.

    • Don't be concerned. A good player can go 1.0 with it, but do FAR better with a different weapon. For a special weapon, the Telesto's time to kill is absurdly long. Sure it will kill in one shot every time if you land all the mini grenades onto the enemy, but the explosion that they produce is too small to realistically ever catch a second person in the blast. And if you don't stick all the little baby Harbingers on the target, its just not going to inflict enough damage to kill them. If your running with a Telesto, you can expect to get a LOT of post-mordem kills. I has its uses in PVE but seriously, its not going to be any kind of PVP powerhouse.

      • Uhm, as a Pvp weapon it is a decent fusion rifle ( there are plenty of better ones). PvE it wrecks! I don't think we have to worry about a Telesto Pvp nerf

        • i've yet to see this, i think your concern is misplaced, enjoy the telesto while it lasts if it is indeed overpowered
