Does the touch of malice really do that much more damage to oryx to not use your sniper?

Infinate ammo. Double damage no reload and death perk is negated in the bubble. Quite good it seems.
-
The amount of damage it does relative to snipers is irrelevant -- if the relic runner has a malice that person can spam the final round from the time he gets the shield, till the time Oryx resets to mortar/shade phase. It's constant damage on Oryx, it's completely clearing adds from the center pathway. It really takes a lot of pressure of the runners trying to dodge adds to get to the orbs and get back to the bubble.

It's more than good, it phenomenal. We make him flinch instantly. And in the damage part we kicked his ass.
-
It's good shit man
-
Did the last two parts and there was two guys with it and they did more damage then my sniper.
-
Instant oryx stun. Works even better if your runner has it.
-
Yes, unlimited ammo, double damage. Pretty good I'd say.
-
Good for staggering but once he dark souls you. Try to becareful. There's no health gen in there. I normally just switch out to red death just before he teleports you. But other than that , it a great for getting him to stagger.
-
2 Repliesunlimited ammo...yeah. its pretty good
-
-
Yep way better than snipers for daughters and oryx
-
Yes it's rate of fire and damage boost is nuts. I run relic or mid if I am the only one with malice to stay on oryx.
-
The best gun for oryx/daughters imo.

Once you get to the last round in the mag it doesn't need to be reloaded and does double damage but also each double damage shot does a little bit of damage to the shooter. The reason it is so good is when you are in those aura bubbles it does this double damage with out taking damage. It's the best Dps weapon for the raid by far.
-
Yeah it's god tier.. Unlimited bullets, had 3 including myself in the raid Tuesday, and melted oryx first try
-
3 RepliesI'll have to watch a video on that gun. I still don't get how losing health with each shot can be good. Do you have it? Is it good?
-
Yes and there are more reasons than just damage. You never have to reload, you can save your sniper ammo for ogres. But damage wise it destroys snipers at daughters after a wipe the two who were using malice did almost twice as much as anyone else.
-
The thing is, snipers get most of their damage from their critical hit multiplier, and Oryx' chest isn't a critical spot. Touch of Malice has a good critical multiplier, but its not as dependant, and still takes advantage of the double damage from its last shot. ToM dishes out more DPS than anything so far without crits being considered. Hence why it staggers Oryx so easily.
-
We had 4 of them in our team against oryx yesterday, the damage is insane.
-
1 ReplyYes. All 6 of us had it and we flinched Oryx in under 2 seconds
-
Very much so. It's a full auto scout rifle that is doing double damage on a bullet that regenerates and doesn't hurt you. It's absolutely perfect for Daughters and Oryx while in the Aura. I used it on Oryx last time and it was doing ~2000 per shot (not sure on the exact number), and you aren't using any ammo either. For me, that meant I could save my sniper ammo for the Echo once he starts teleporting. Just make sure you don't whittle your health down before he teleports you into the bubble, because in the bubble your health doesn't regenerate.

Yes. The Aura of Immortality prevents it's last bullet from draining health and at 310 it deals higher dps than anything else.
