Is aquiring the Black Spindle the hardest thing in Destiny?
Me and my friends grinded this out for 2 hours and finally beat it with around 30 seconds left. After, we all agreed that that was probably the hardest thing we've done in the game, including Oryx. It's almost unmanageable, but it's just at the point where it is barely doable. What do you think guardians?

5 RepliesIt's amazing how many people think getting this gun is hard. The first time I tried I was solo and got him down to a hair of health, that was before I knew you had to clear all the smaller enemies as well. The second time I got two randoms from the recruitment section and considering my mic recently broke we all ran it without talking to each other. We screwed up the first time but the second time we did it super easy. Anybody who has trouble with this yet has completed the raid is a TERRIBLE player. Sure anyone can beat the raid when they have 5 others they always play with and all have mics and are all familiar with each other. But that means nothing, a measure of a good player is how well they play under difficult circumstances with completely random people on a whim. Even court of oryx tier 3 last week! I even did that for the first time with two other randoms without being in a party and we were all under 300. My point is if you can do the raid yet you can't do this EXTREMELY simple task then you're a shiiiiiiit player. End of story. Once you learn the correct strategy [i]that works for your team[/i], it's not bad. I've heard: Titan weapons bubble Hunter tether +1 whichever guardian Tether boss, bubble right around him, sword him till he dies and then do ads. Also... Kill all Blythes (8 of them) and then melt boss.

1 ReplyJust like skolas, there is a method requiring effective teamwork and communication. Clear adds, damage boss til next wave, rinse and repeat. The huge bit of teamwork and commo revolves around taking out all the blights first, then everyone focusing fire all at once on a higher ranked add then clear low levels as individuals

It's hard but it can be done, must take out the blights and you'll encounter less adds

2 RepliesBest advise I can give--- There are a finite amount of blights at the end. 8. Destroy them first before adds duplicate. Then burn boss. Once adds duplicate there are literally twice as many.

Not even close, done it 5 times and didn't fail once.

I thought it was the most difficult thing I've done in destiny, yeah. I'm glad it was a challenge though. It was really satisfying.

It depends on your team and your strategy. I was lucky enough to get with 2 guys in lfg who were 300 and 303 with me at 294. They both had exotic swords and we all worked great together at taking down adds. We didn't really have a strategy in the last room besides one guy more focused on blights and adds but we all really took down adds together. We beat it with 2 minutes left on the clock. I've also been in a team where we couldn't even down the boss in the timer, let alone even think about controlling the adds. It really depends if your team has the firepower and can work together.

I think touch of malice is more of a challenge and more time consuming.

It is the third hardest thing in Destiny. Second hardest is getting people to not leave a strike. Hardest thing is finding a raid group.

Oryx was more challenging than black spindle I dismantled mine and infused it into my defiance of yasmin

The first time I tried it I got rekt. Having raid weapons that do extra damage to give make a huge difference. Did it yesterday with 2 mates all with raid weapons and cleared it with 2 mins left. With the right team and give weapons this mission is very doable. Good luck!

Spindle is easy. Beat it second try.

I ran it yesterday with two friends who missed the first chance to get it last week and we finished first try with 1 minute left. Defender titan and Telesto made it very easy.

14 RepliesMy personal challenges from destiny Black spindle mission Quodron level 34 Skolas with light switch Any Omnigul nightfall but the one with arc burn Room 4 of a level 34 once which was hive dismantle mines with arc burn. I nearly cried on that one. Soloing fears embrace for touch of malice. First vog Just off the top of my head

Edit: maybe I should clarify some stuff, I'm mostly calling out the players that are elitist dbags that have such high standards for raids. Cause when I see them say they have trouble on this mission yet boast about how easy the raid was cause they only play with people with all high weapons and levels it's ridiculous. I did the black spindle with two randoms that I clearly had to carry and they had crap gear and levels but I didn't care cause I'm not one of those losers that try to make group destiny activities more exclusive then the bohemian club.
