EDIT: the guardians supers are charged at the start of the fight but the jedi have access to all cannon force powers that jedi can use in combat.

Guardians win, hands down. First of all, the sheer power of small arms in the Destiny universe is ABSURD, Vex have to use temporal shielding to completely block bullets, as in manipulate space time to delete the bullets from reality. Also due to current lore we know that guardians cant be killed by just any weapons, otherwise the Cabal, one of the most advanced armies in the game would not require special tools to block the guardians light, as they could just shoot them. Not only that but if all three guardians are player controlled then they basically win by default against any and all Jedi, by looking at the lore we can see that not only is the player cannon, but is also considered "more real" than the guardians reality. People seem to forget the absurdity of the D2 universe to a massive degree and the players and their guardians being not only cannon, but a major part of the universe. The player guardians are self insert characters to a degree rarely seen in any media, as they are canonically less real than the players and are mainly just vessels for the players, this means that when the Jedi fight guardians, they may kill the npcs, but the players will win because they are something that even if there was an embodiment of the force, it would lose, the player guardians are the main character in a power fantasy, which means that whatever it is, they can beat it with enough time. The only thing that rival the guardians are other self insert characters like them. The only universe that could even try to stop the players that I know of is the SCP universe, as one of the 001 proposals show they KNOW that they are characters in a story and that they are trying to kill the writers, however because of them being works of fiction they failed to do so. This means that the guardians could beat most game characters, but with beings like Steve from Minecraft, the player character in most sandbox games LIKE Minecraft, and other characters made to be a self insert to a world that you have massive amounts of control over like Minecraft, Terraria, Starbound and maybe even Roblox. The reason these characters are so powerful is because the player exists, thus meaning so long as the player is alive, the fights still on. These characters have very little backstory, like the protagonist in Starbound, and the players Guardian, or no backstory like Steve and the player character from Terraria, making them essentially a vessel for a being who cannot enter their universe but has near-infinite power over it. The more backstory a character has, the weaker it is in comparison to the previous four examples as a self insert character made singularly to fulfil a goal, be it building impossible structures or be as powerful as possible, will always win as that is their purpose, to fulfil dreams for the player they will never achieve in real life.

Well jedi can control the weak minded so as long as you don't have a titan in the fireteam you are good...

8 RepliesMy end all be all to this post. Look I know you Star Wars fanboys are righteous defenders but let's break this down for moment. One all guardians start with charged super as stated by the op so any and all arguments concerning charge time are invalid. Two the Jedi are 3 average level Knights not the gods like Skywalker and Mace. Three ANY AND ALL POWERS like SHATTER POINT are NON canon let alone concerning the fact they have only ever been used by the godlike masters(Luke, mace, and high level Sith Lords). Four anyone stating the three Jedi Knights can hold guardians in place is invalid as if the guardians have the willpower and light to resist a god with his own dimension whom takes and controls any being with a desire I think they can resist an average Knights force control. Fifth of all yes Jedi predict where bullets will be however this doesn't mean they have the reaction time to deflect them also if they try blocking them with their saber the will get a face full of molten led sprayed at them. Sixth a warlocks nova bomb is essentially a controlled Blackhole that hits with the force of one so no you can't "redirect it". Seventh a lightsaber is yes very effective however the swords wielded by guardians drain all energy they touch effectively making any lightsaber they come into contact with a chunk of metal. Eighth any concentrated controlled fire is more than enough to take down a Jedi let alone using those slow ass predictable with your eye blisters in the movies. All this is supported by grimoire btw. Ninth guardians can revive indefinitely unless their ghost is crushed which might take the Jedi a few try's to figure out assuming they even kill one to begin with. Tenth a golden will just straight insta kill all three with little effort as it has no travel time and even if you predict it you simply can't move in time. Eleventh these Knights are the same guys who get killed alongside a lot of padawans in that arena in the movie simply by being overwhelmed by anywhere from one to two dozen droids. So is it safe to say they won't last against three guys using Blackholes(novabomb) instant hit guns made out of energy(golden gun) and a bubble made out of light and energy that blocks all projectiles(defender bubble) as well as bullets rather than blaster rifles(see point five) yeah I'd say it's safe to say they lose. HOWEVER if we are talking about specific Jedi masters (which isn't what this post is about by the way) then they would win. TL:DR guardians completely mop the floor with the Jedi unless they are the specific masters however that isn't in the context of the post. BUMP THIS SO ALL THE STARWARS Fanboys can read.

According to some crybabies, if they were Titans with HoS, they'd not only beat the jedis, they'd save Endor, blow up the Death Star and still have enough left to wipe out Jar Jar.

Edited by theraggededge1: 10/4/2015 9:44:39 PMAs someone who has put in a shit ton of time into destiny i can honestly say the guardians would lose. It doesn't matter what super they have charged. Jedi have the ability to counter and move around it. Whether through force or saber. Fight starts jedi mind controls one guardian. Guardian turns supers team. Other jedi pick up final guardian and slam him into group while final jedi uses saber to camp spawn. Ghosts are slashed in half. Jedi move on to deal with something more of a threat like a mynock

What about ghost revives?

11 RepliesAhem, we only need one Jedi, Starkiller.

It all depends on whether the fight takes place in a darkness zone. If not then guardians would win this fight simply because they wouldn't stay dead and the Jedi would become tired eventually ;)

36 RepliesEdited by Apocriya: 10/1/2015 11:42:16 PMTHE END ALL BE ALL OF THIS POST. A Jedi simply needs to use force restrain to hold a guardian in place. Boom. Fights Over. Done. Only another force user can break this bond. NO. A guardian is NOT exempt from this. The force flows through everything. Every rock. Every tree. Gas, liquids and solids alike. All matter and even things beyond, the force lives and thrives in. It is not bound by dimension. Not bound by galaxy. The force is infinity as infinity is the force. Nothing is outside it's reach. NOTHING. Secondly, the force ability "shatterpoint". Shatterpoint can rip anything to shreds. Things thought to be indestructible or invincible. Those words are insignificant to the power of the force. It can shatter the ghost. Not even a challenge. It can shatter the guardians armor. If your guardian has ever had a scar on their entire body, it can rip them inside out. Might I also add, a super is nothing if a guardian can't move to use it. The force can stop hammer of sol and a nova bomb. How? Because they exist. They are made up of the force simply by the fact that they exist. But that doesn't even matter. Jedi wouldn't need to stop these things because the guardian would already be restrained by the force. BUMP SO PEOPLE SEE THIS SO WE CAN END THIS STUPID DEBATE ONCE AND FOR ALL. It's over guardians. You've lost. <3~~Shino Asada~~<3
