Guns kill people? Or...
So someone kills someone with a gun. Did the gun kill the person or did a person kill the person?
As you can see, this is a highly intellectual question.
Edit: Wow guys, gotta admit I didn't think this would blow up. Over 600 comments. Lots of good discussions, but try and keep it civil, there's no need to get violent.
Looks like the vast majority of us agree that people kill people, and guns are merely tools that make it easier. One recurring theme, and one the Obama is encouraging, is that in order to stem tragic murders, gun control laws must be implemented. I'm working on making a post exploring the results of gun control laws in other countries and if this idea of government gun control is one that should be pursued.

I once left my rifle next to the door. Cracked the door open a little bit and left a little box of ammo next to it to entice it. I went about my day and every time I past by that door, the gun didn't move an inch and the box of ammo remained untouched. How weird that the inanimate object didn't start moving till me, a person, started moving it. Guns kill people? Ha.

I've seen people have multiple skull fractures from bats and live. I've seen people hit by cars and live. Firearms only have one purpose. To kill.

Technically it would be the bullet, the gun being an assistant and people providing the motive. The bullet is what imbeds itself into people and makes them bleed out.
