THANKS![/u] \\ ***[/b] [b]** [i]Moderator-approved[/i] **[/b] [b][u]DISCLAIMERS[/b][/u] [i]This is entirely my creation (I have borrowed lines directly from some novels to tie this in with the existing canon); I have no affiliation with Bungie studios and do not claim to know what Halo REACH will be about. This is my idea for what REACH would be like [b]if[/b] I were the writer on the project. A lot of this has been crafted by me, and not taken directly from the Halo canon (namely characters, locations, battles, and ships), but to the best of my knowledge, it does not conflict with the canon at all. If it does, let me know so I can tweak it.[/i] [b]The numbering question:[/b] [i]Sierra-259 and Sierra-320 have call-signs above 150, the original number of Spartan-II candidates. My explanation for this is that there was a large pool of children surveyed (at least 320). Then of those, 150 of the best were selected, and of those, only 75 were conscripted due to budget limitations.[/i] The script is all complete and posted. This is definitely not the end of the story, though. I have designed this to be a trilogy of games. I'm working on the first sequal now, which will run parallel with the beginning of Halo 2 and some of Ghosts of Onyx, but it will be a new story like with my first script. Halo REACH 2 will show us numerous things which Bungie hasn't told us about, that you will find out as I post. I don't know how fast I will be able to get the sequal done, though I already have the backbone for the first and second sequals, as well as the [url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=35589354]first cinematic[/url] (Harbinger), as well as about half of the first mission, for REACH 2. I'm starting at a full time job tomorrow and another semester at college late this month. I will get this done as fast as possible.   • The PoA leaves about 45 mins into the battle, just as the Covenant ships move in past the downed generators to glass the planet. This coincides with the beginning of Halo First Strike, where on the ground Fred and Kelly witness the Covenant ships coming down through the clouds. So the PoA leaves during the 2nd mission "The Grid," days before the Flood are encountered in my script.

  • I loved the script, though i did not like the involvement of the flood, there was no [u][b]Recorded[/u][/b] Encounter with the flood until the battle of instillation 04. the pillar of autumn escaped, meaning flood presence would have been [u][b]Recorded[/b][/u]. so the flood cannot be included.   • Insanely awesome script i have got to hand it to ya but i think what halo needs is some new mission types i love how u added interactive dialouge and such, awseom idea, but i wish Halo hadnt used every type of mission possible so far like the mission have been a lil redundent defend this structure transport this guy go to this place. Halo needs a refresher but i absolutely loved ur script and think u should quite ur small video game company adn sign on with the big boys ;)

Cant wait for more.[/quote]Thanks, glad you liked it :) I liked tying in this story with those told in the novels. It makes it believable... I wonder if any of the mods or anyone from Bungie has read it. I think that I could have included Drones in my script... truth is, I didn't like them in Halo 2 and 3 and just didn't add them. I liked them in ODST so it's possible for them to become a better enemy... maybe I will edit and add them into certain combat scenes.

  • i have a first cutscene in mind....... ok start off with a unsc frigate over reach, it enters mid atmo. then cut to the bridge......(i have to make up some names....bear with me and dont complain) cptn.burke:(over intercomm) "ok gentlemen this is gonna be one of the biggest battles we ever get to see....and for the fresh new faces out of boot camp...this may be your last battle, so in about 1 hour, we are gonna throw everything we have at those covenant bastards.... give 'em hell boys...give 'em hell. Desolace (A.I): ok so captain? what now.....i mean, should we deploy in an hour? really? we are just going to sit here out in the open? why dont we send them down now then jump back out of atmo. that would be the more productive thing to do. Burke: good point..(reaches for intercom button) ok men...change of plans, looks like were going now....godspeed to you guys, godspeed...(shuts off intercomm)ok Desolace, make sure every marine, odst, or spartan gets of this boat now...then send us into orbit to watch... (cut to a hangar deck) (multiple tanks and artillery guns are loaded onto albatrosses and pelicans) Desolace: artillery teams echo 59 thru tango 33 report to docking bays and prep for launch, spartan silver team get to your pelicans now and go before everyone else, we'll send a warthog in with you...( looks at Burke) sir, we should tell them shouldn't we? Burke: no, they'll find out for their selves. ( cut to an albatross with marines warthogs and a mongoose being loaded) sgt. jace: hey nick, get that cannon locked up, rook, get your ammo, and hop your ass into a seat, now! pvt. carpenter: ok sir artie. is locked down tight, now we just sit down and....( hangar bay rumbles)...what the hell was that!!! Sgt. jace: hell if i know, lets roll. (albatross packs up and flys out of hangar) Desolace: ah hell, captain, weve lost main engine # 2, were drifting..(another explosion)...ok, now we lost # 1, we are screwed, right? view of unsc frigate from outside, ship explodes... fade to black after multiple albatrosses and pelicans fly towards reach......HALO: REACH [Edited on 11.28.2009 7:15 AM PST]

  • naaa i think the ledgendary ending should have a picture of the planet Reach with weird spooky music playing. It also says "BLANK many years later". It then does a slow zoom in on the planet intill you start to see a burning ship. finally you are at ground level. it pauses for 2 seconds when you see master cheif walk out heroicly. The music turns to epic music and after 5 seconds of him standing there the music and video stop dead. [Edited on 11.28.2009 6:50 AM PST]

This is just my take on the story based off of a theory I posted here a while back (about us playing as the 5 unnamed mystery Spartans added to Red Team between August 29 and August 30 in the novels).

  • I jumped on you once for posting(long time ago), couldn't figure out why it irks me so much, and I just realized. Fan art is ok. But you're using the forums to host it. There are plenty of free web page places, and you could just advertise it here. If it was any good you'd draw fans(Arby n the Chief, RVB, etc) and as a bonus you don't look like a free loader who really needs the public attention. /I seem to remember a fan art section as well, but it's late and I'm not looking for it..

We never learn where the 215 S-IIIs of Gamma went in the novels, so I used them in my script. After they left Onyx on October 20 (check the dates in my REACH 2 notes) they were to launch an assault against the mobile Covenant base which was gathering ships in preparation for a massive assault on Earth. Just so happens that the Civil War broke out on and around said Covenant base, making it possible for the S-IIIs, with a little help from out 5 S-IIs, to stop the invasive forces in their tracks... for now. And then they head back to Sol ASAP to spread the news of the Civil War as well as defend the planet. I thought this all out, trust me. In REACH 3 the first planet to be assaulted was Mars. In the Bungie timeline the Forerunner Dreadnaught is in the Sol system for something like a week before heading to Earth (beginning of H3/end of H2), so I made the reasoning behind this an artifact on Mars - something worth fighting for even in this late hour... according to the Fleetmaster's intel from Onyx just before getting blown to bits by Kurt. In REACH 3 the Gammas (S-IIIs) die defending the entrance to said structure, a second entrance to the Shield World from Ghosts of Onyx, while the S-IIs (as well as a portion of the Brute, Elite, and Human fleets) enter and fight in the alien lands. They eventually find out that they are trapped in here forever, and GUARDIAN aids them in disrupting the slipspace generator (remember in GoO the dyson sphere was not actually at Onyx, but it existed within slipspace - Onyx just had an entrance to the world, like Mars in my story), dropping the planet out of slipspace. At the end of the game, they are marching up a mountain and in the distance sillhouettes appear. We never see them up close, but they are: Fred, Kelly, Linda, etc. from GoO. A familar voice, Fred, whispers "Oly Oly Oxen Free" over COM before cutting to black. In the Legendary Ending, the Spartans approach each other and briefly discuss what happened to them, before GUARDIAN interrupts them loudly informing them of a nearby slipspace rupture. They ask "Friend or Foe?" He replies simply: Reclaimer. (ends up it's the Master Chief from the Legendary end of Halo 3, setting us up for more story in the form of games, books, movies, comics, whatever, with the Spartans re-united as a squad again)
