Dropped grenades can now be exploded again! At 15:17 of this video, you can see the ODST throwing a grenade, and a second later there are three more explosions! That's yet another feature from Halo: CE returning! I swear, this game is like CE with Halo 3 graphics. Which is epic.

Did they not already do that in Halo 3's campaign? Why's that a Halo 1 feature and not a Halo 3 feature? You people make me laugh at little you actually know...
-
All new thing were added to halo 3 such ass the rare occasion of when a gun drops, it shoots and when you throw grenades back.
-
Posted by: Chocomog The only other time before ODST that grenades on the ground have been able to explode are the Halo 1 Campaign.
Bullcrap! Grenades on the ground have always been able to explode in any of the Halo campaigns. If you don't believe this, go try it for yourself. You don't need any skulls either, just something that goes boom.

Dropped grenades explode in halo 3,just not in multiplayer.

I don't even re call that happening in CE, it definitely doesn't happen in 3.
-
Huh, I watched that trailer but never noticed that. Nice find btw.

Yay for warthog jumping.
Posted by: Matu Flp Krawfe
Posted by: LJOY95 And what are dropped grenades exploding? Sorry, never got to play Halo CE completely.
If a grenade has been dropped, it will detonate if another explosion occurs close by.
Oh ok, thanks for clearing that up.
-
Oh, that is kinda cool. So like the grenades that you drop when you die are able to explode if a thrown grenade explodes near them? cool
-
Posted by: Chocomog
Posted by: MCPOchin Its confusing when people say CE because when members say that, I keep thinking Halo Custom Edition and not Combat Evolved. Usually the grenade exploding happens in all 3 of the games.
No, I mean the ones on the ground. When there's an explosion near them, they will explode as well, creating a chain reaction of explosions.
Dude, go to the Motor Pool encounter, And throw a grenade about halfway through. Spike grenade minefield.
-
Hmm... From the amount of deaths I've suffered from grenade chain reactions I can wholeheartedly say that grenades exploding when shot, meleed or being exposed to other explosions has never gone away. If anyone needs proof turn on the Cowbell skull to max out the physics and watch the chain reactions fly; a good place to test would be the 1st battle on Crow's nest. That said, I'm glad the feature will still be on ODST, seeing that kinda stuff in theatre is priceless if it's your own humiliating death.
