How can Bungie fix shotguns for real.

Too many matches are all still shotgun shootouts. Bungie has tried, but its not even the range of shotguns as much as the corner camping and the hardcore rushing made possible by map design. We need a fix that keeps shotguns relevant, but reduces their effectivness when rushing hard. Too many players get all their points that way.

      • I think they are fine. Still infuriating at times, but not unbalanced. People just need to adjust their style of play. When you go rushing around a corner without glancing at your radar, don't be surprised when you get wrecked by a shotgun. Watch your radar, watch your corners. When I put distance between myself and shotgunners, my fusion rifle is more than capable of taking them down. Just gotta play carefully.

      • Range was not the full problem it was the high impact shotguns with high range Bungie should of made high impact shotguns have normal range with high impact with slow rate of fire And low impact with high range and faster Rate of fire

        • Remove them. They've been reworked what now about 5 times? 6? They will always been effective up close. Map design and all the agility makes them great weapons.

          • Easy fix for those pesky shotgunners buzzing around your face. Step 1, shoot a couple of bullets into them. Step 2 throwing knife. They never see it coming.

          • Take rangefinder and shot package out of perk trees. That way u can't get any [i]extra[/i] range.

            • You can't do anything about shotguns, they should be one hit kills at close range. The movement abilities (especially the long ass slides) of the classes and the close quarters of the majority of the maps makes them such a problem.

              Lower reload speeds a lot. Like keep the one hit kill but make it have to reload after every shot or every other shot. Boom no more running around shotgun bing everything.

              Bungie Weekly Update "The one about shotguns" - after much deliberation, we decided having shotguns shoot literal nerf darts would be a more balanced crucible experience. • 343% damage reduction • 80% less range • darts now have drop-off, and fall as well, must now compensate for distance and arcing. • some darts may not have tips, which results in 20% less damage. • 2% chance for a golden slug dart to be fired which can 1 shot at any range. • mag size reduced across all base stats • reload speed reduced • Buffed the likeliness of your shotgun jamming by 27% [spoiler]this is what we'll have eventually because people just hate getting killed by shotguns. The nerf cries will never end. [/spoiler]
