I won't be doing that quest, at least not for a while. Partly because I love swords, and want to keep a Legendary one of each element. Otherwise, I'll have to give up the Exotic slot to use it. And Zhalo Supercell/Telesto plus Swords is tooooo fun for that.
Also partly because I can think of approximately 362595829467289534547315632034901650329068391 things I would rather be doing than that cluster-blam!- of a quest. And yes, an extremely invasive rectal exam is one of them.

You keep the legendary version and get another exotic one.

You get to keep your legendary sword when you get the exotic sword. They don't take away your legendary sword.
